Step 1: Even though the world has not had a major respiratory disease epidemic in almost a century, insist one is coming SOON and we have to swab every bat in China to figure what virus will cause it.

Step 2: When you can’t find viruses capable of causing it, start making them more dangerous in a lab.

Step 3: When an epidemic finally breaks out IN THE CITY WHERE THE LAB IS, shout down anyone who mentions the connection. Instead spend two years instituting control measures that prove completely ineffective at stopping it - though very effective at ruining kids’ mental health.

Step 4: Invent “vaccines” that work against the virus in a completely novel way, test them for months, and give them to more than a billion people.

Step 5: Be surprised when the vaccines turn out to be far more effective than the virus itself at causing immune imprinting and original antigenic sin.

Step 6: Wonder why the outbreak has lasted far longer than previous outbreaks, when neither control measures nor vaccines were used.

Likely engineered virus...which most now agree especially those top virologist were advising Fauci at the time (We have now seen their emails) and you said I was nuts?

Those sound exactly the same as Fauci...with the exception of engineered which is not proven and the last one in which trump made a choice to quit the pandemic and lie to the public. It cost him an election.

The evidence that covid was a result of gain of function engineering in a Chinese lab is overwhelming. You have to question the motivation of anyone who disputes this. So what are yours Happy?

Blame goes to elected officials who have ratified the recommendations of purported experts while ignoring or underestimating the human costs of the recommended restrictions. Even more blame, in my view, goes to teachers union members and leaders, who have been screaming that any relaxation of mask mandates, any return to normalcy, amounts to mass murder.

Henderson argued that maintaining normalcy was a key goal of any pandemic response and he was right:

Rules such as mandatory masking in schools have been imposed, despite weak arguments, by powerful interests — federal public health agencies and teacher unions — with quasi-religious support from partisan, upscale liberals. Surgeon general and his entire family test positive for COVID-19​

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and the rest of his immediate family have tested positive for COVID-19, the nation's top doctor shared on Twitter.

He, his wife and his 5-year-old son tested positive, after his 4-year-old daughter tested positive last weekend. They are all vaccinated, with the exception of the 4-year-old, who is too young to be eligible for any vaccine. Murthy said his son has a runny nose and low-grade fever but is otherwise fine. He didn't say whether he's experiencing symptoms.

Two preprint studies posted Saturday offer further evidence that the coronavirus originated in animals and spread to humans in late 2019 at the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, China.

One of the studies -- neither of which has been peer-reviewed or published in a professional journal -- used spatial analysis to show that the earliest known Covid-19 cases, diagnosed in December 2019, were centered on the market. The researchers also report that environmental samples that tested positive for the virus, SARS-CoV-2, were strongly associated with live-animal vendors.

The other study says the two major viral lineages were the result of at least two events in which the virus crossed species into humans. The first transmission most likely happened in late November or early December 2019, the researchers say, and the other lineage was probably introduced within weeks of the first event.

This is garbage "science". We desperately need the republicans to win back the congress so hearings on this can be held. The overwhelming scientific evidence to date indicates that covid resulted from gain of function research in a Chinese lab. Shame on these authors for publishing such shoddy work.

My understanding was that they looked at 80,000 animals, and have never found the virus.

The global Covid-19 death toll surpassed 6 million on Monday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Global daily deaths have been dropping quickly over the past month, down from about 11,000 a day in the second week of February to about 7,000 a day now -- one of the lowest rates reported over the past year.

But the loss is still immense, with about 1 million deaths recorded over the past four months.

About 1 in every 1,300 people globally has died of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic, and experts have said official death tolls are likely an undercount.

I guess the move to weed out the sick and the weak is doing it's job. They should rename this virus to Darwin Virus. But that may be too simple because of the brain washing and fear mongering that went with it. I'm in California, been here most of February and all of March for business. They lifted the mask mandate last week and people are still walking in fear and giving you nasty looks when you don't wear a mask. It really is pretty pathetic how easily so many people became sheep.
