But that's again my point you're not positive that we can get to 19 points but yet we put up 31 on St Ed's even Hoban didn't beat Ed's by double digits they beat them 24-21 again bro y'all put too much stock in one game it's a rivalry game at that McKinley has literally heard all year how they was going to get running clocked by Massillon so of course they played out of their mind so you can't use that game as the defining factor of what our Fate will be in the playoffs that's just asinine
I'm not using that game as a deciding factor bro I'm just saying good chance Hoban can hold us to under 19. Last year we averaged 43 points a game and they held us to 7. Hell we might score 14 and beat Hoban. I'm just saying if Hoban loads the box and stops the run I think we are in trouble. I thought about this long before we played Mck so it's not like I'm using that game to decide our fate.We rely heavily on that rushing attack.

Good stuff! Gotta remember mckinley was playing their super bowl. If we needed more points, we woulda got more points. At first I was disappointed in our play but hey we won. Most people think our Oline is our weak point but Slaughter's ability to read defenses makes up for it most of the time. It remains to be seen if we got enough to beat the Pinocchio's. I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

Slaughter passes DaOne welll didn’t 🤣
OLine may not be as tough idk
But maybe they don’t need to be as well
Spread the ball some keep the secondary pushed back a little with a fear of the long ball
And open up some short passes and run opportunities
Sounds good on paper at least
A balanced QB is easier to work with imo

I'm not making any excuses for the lousy football program. I will, however, stay steadfast in the fact that though there are suburb communities being built so quick the school cannot keep up, and there are not families moving into the area from another. They are families moving into the area as 1st and 2nd generation immigrants. Not only does one family move into the house, but sometines 2-3 families. There are cases where newer houses are bought outright with cash because 1st, 2nd an 3rd generation families live in the homes. It does not give the school an excuse to be lousy in sports, but there isn't exactly a lot of students from Nepal, Somalia, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela or Haiti that want to play sports, lol. If I am being honest there are probably more ELL students than English speaking students. Not too many schools have had to build a brand new high school, an addition to a brand new high school, three new elementaries and a new bus garage in the last 10 years.

In my opinion, no 12 teams. We don't need byes for high school playoffs. 8 is the sweet spot, in my opinion. If you can't make the top 8 in your region, too bad.
Agree. Top 8, 4 weeks crown a champion. These first 2 weeks are glorified scrimmages for the top teams. I don't like going to a playoff game and the score is 45 to 0 in the 2nd quarter

I look at it this way. Sometimes it’s about the experience and not the score. Licking Heights gets to play under the lights at the infamous, iconic, Ohio Stadium of high school stadiums, PBTS against our Tigers. Last Saturday I took 18 people to the game, 12 from Columbus, 6 were first timers. Since our bar in Columbus is called Tremont, we went to Sandy’s Tremont Pub in Massillon. We’ve done this the past few years. Eighty eight year old Sandy, the nicest lady you will ever meet, opened her bar early for us. We drank adult beverages, played pool, and ate Krauses Pizza. When we got to the stadium and the first timers saw PBTS splashed in sunshine, filled with fans, witnessed the tailgating (which we partook in) their jaws dropped. Add the band, student section, scoreboard, balloons, fireworks they were in awe. I already have people bugging me to come next year. So let’s roll out the red carpet, as we always do for opponents, for Licking Heights. Heights fans, stop and have a drink with Sandy, get some Krauses pizza, and enjoy the experience. You can tell your grandkids someday.

Massillon is supposed to be without one of their biggest supporters on the sideline. I witnessed him get in a disagreement with an older gentleman with a walker about standing on the railing. When the older gentleman asked him to move, he said do you know who I am? I ain’t moving. Punches were thrown but the older gentleman with the walker got the best of him. Let’s see if his friendship with Coach Moore keeps him on the sideline.

Concur with this. Sandy is a doll.

Apparently about a fifth of the district is ESL, according to this article.

Excluding a fifth of their enrollment, that would still place LH at 462 male enrollment vs Massillon's 469. That's over 80 boys away from being small enough for D3. That's also assuming this data is applicable to the 10-12 boy's enrollment.

I'm still not sold on the "Oh boohoo we've got a bunch of Nepali and African students" excuse. LH would still be squarely within D2 if they all moved out tomorrow.

At least it’s a new excuse
“The recruiting
Open enrollment
Booster club payoffs
Weak region
Should be D1”
Sheep gets old

And adding to the above
If half their school wasn’t foreign one of the excuses above would be used after the game
Oh forgot the famous “they only play home games”

We had Owens this year we would be undefeated. He could pass just not as good as slaughter but he was unstoppable at running ball. I watched St Ed's last year load the box and he still ran for 175. With way Gamble has played this year with Owens 😂 dude it would be a for sure state championship and not to mention our defense this year while it might not be last year's is still very good.

Here is how I see it. Massilion is a very good team that is one of the top in Ohio. That being said they have never ran into a swarm of hornets before hornets will pull off the upset
I wish I could be as optimistic as you. I've been around Heights football for awhile. They'll be lucky to have more than two 3 & out drives.

That's what I like to hear and come support your team. Not sure you really believe yourself but it's better than complaining about having to play Massillon

Thank God somebody corrected that. Had Heights lost 40-0 to Zanesville, Massillon probably would pay Heights not to play them for their own well being. Zanesville didnt even score 20 points this year.
I didn't realize how God awful Zanesville was till I looked at their record and schedule. Don't worry I don't think the score this Friday will look as bad as you think for being a 50-60 point underdog. Guess it depends how much scoring is done in that first half because I do predict a running clock by the 3rd quarter. Maybe 35-0 42-7 final
