Week 6: Austintown Fitch game.

Massillon's defense was tough. They really settled down and got after Sherwood. Moore called a great second half. Your running back was tough too. The freshman QB looks like he's going to be a great one. I would not be upset losing to this team because they are good. I just hate losing when we screw ourselves up. Even if we didn't make mistakes, Massillon still could have won because Moore would have called it differently and this may have become more of a 42-35 game with either team being able to win it. Massillon did not make mistakes and that is how you win games. Good win for you guys. I am more upset with some of the play calls after we got down. The linebacker made a great play an picked that ball off which led to Massillon putting it away. The QB also made a great throw to put Massillon is scoring position. What made me mad was Fitch went into a 3 - 4 defense on that play. Why they did that I do not know. Massillon also wore us down. You can't make mistakes against good teams. Massillon played like a team that knows how to win big games and was able to pull it out. Congrats. You guys deserve it because you are facing adversity too. I just know we have to fix this running back situation or we are in real trouble with Harding, Canfield, and Boardman still to play.
Nothing but class here. Great host, great game, and love this series. Best of luck to both teams. Still a lot of football left to play and best of luck to both

Massillon D forced multiple turnovers and just missed on getting a couple more. They cranked up the pressure in the 2nd half. The Massillon fumble late where they let the young man get up off the ground and then run for 70 yards is a joke. Everyone can say shoulda, woulda, coulda. But there were plenty of mistakes to go around and plenty of missing players to go around. 1 team had an experienced exceptional QB and the other had a Freshman starting. Fun game to watch either way and frustrating at times as well. High School Football folks and all those kids played hard! Let's not forget Massillon had not 1, not 2, but 3 turnovers as well. The Tigers earned that win on the road!

Fitch will be fine. A lot of the mistakes Fitch made are correctable and may not occur down the road.

I hope you're right. One good thing is there have been some really young players playing because of the injuries, and they look tough.

It’s awesome to read all the comments and nobody wants to give our boys credit tonight. We all know we were without multiple players due to injury and suspension and still won on the road by 10. With a freshman quarterback in his first start. I’m not sitting here beating my chest by any means but give our kids some damn credit
Absolutely concur. These kids won with a lot of heart tonight. They frustrate me at times. But with the adversity going into the game they came up huge and a well earned W. Were they lucky? I'd say Fitch was unlucky and Massillon capitalized. Fitch is usually a great game and I am glad we continue to play them. Great venue, parking and fans. Best to them until next we meet.

Great analysis!?

Great game to watch. Both teams missing critical players apparently. Tiger D blitz, and freshman QB stepped up. Brawley stepping up as usual, almost reminds me of Bo Grunder type player, I’ll never forget the best punt return against warren way back,
. Fitch QB looked something special. Zebras handed Fitch some help, Fitch handed Massillon some help. But that doesn’t negate the effort the tigers put in. Best of luck to both teams moving forward. Would love to meet again this year.
Fitch without 4 starters as well, shame either had to lose

Moore didn’t call a d—- thing, and I hope we keep it that way

Who runs the PA system at Fitch and is the goal to be as incredible loud and obnoxious as possible with all the noise when the other team has the ball?
Definitely PA announcer wasn’t my favorite but that’s home field advantage. If the Fitch players and fans like him keep it up. Love a hostile environment.

I was pretty disappointed in our traveling fan base last night. We need to do better. I hate streaming options. The teams deserve butts in the seats.

Yep, the easy streaming options are killing attendance.

The streaming options have been great for those of us that live out of state or far from town. I don't think streaming options should be made available for businesses to profit off of while drawing crowds away from the stadium.
Yeah it’s good to have it available for out of state and such but it shouldn’t be available for people in the area.

I disagree, our streams are still a paid one. Many still have concerns with covid, why not get some money rather than none? Also, my Dad has been to nearly 620 Varsity Tiger alone, until a debilitating terminal illness has robbed him of ability to leave the house. We still bought our season tickets even though they he cannot attend. I am grateful he has the live stream to enjoy something that he has spent a lifetime following.

Good point. I’m very sorry to hear about your father.

It stinks because people like him should be able to watch. On the other hand people who want to stay home and drink or don’t want to sit in the cold anger me.

I think that Massillon needs to come up with a way for season ticket holders to pay for the ability to stream the games, no matter where they live. I understand that it may hurt attendance, but like MOBIE1's example shows, there are a bunch of older season ticket holders that can't make it to the games for whatever reason.
Maybe just add a flat fee per game for streaming ability when they purchase their season tickets?
