Week 6: Austintown Fitch game.

Too many mistakes by the Falcons tonight . Had chances to open this game up. Regroup and get ready for next week .
 
We blew this game. Some of those calls were really stupid. Why they didn't run a draw down on the goal line is puzzling. We just blew this game, but if we don't get a running back, we will not be going far. Just too many injuries.

Can you anticipate the wording of the multiple law suits that Plakas will bring against the OHSAA?

No one affiliated with the school district violated ANY bylaw but we are penalized because of the actions of a third party, we have no control over.

It would appear the OHSAA has made a very bad decision, that remedies will attach to in a subsequent court case!

As far as the current situation, it appears that the state favors the parochials / privates and NEVER thought we'd catch on and even the playing field (open enrollment). So they are using an illegal bylaw (which can be applied at random, at any time to stop a public from competing for the title).

I feel like our defense gave up 42 points but scoreboard says 21 so I guess I'll take it. Not a good showing. Credit to Fitch they were tough kids as usual and the QB was great but they have to be kicking themselves. Good luck rest of the way.
 
I just can't believe the mistakes we made tonight and against Ursuline. If we make these mistakes against Canfield, we will get beat badly. Canfield may actually be better than Massillon. I know one thing, Parker better move to quick strikes because Hurdley is going to send the house to stop Sherwood. That is what he did when he was at Fitch, and he will do it against us.
 
Fitch gave the game away, I could careless who wins, but Fitch should have won but consistently shot themselves in the foot starting with the fumble when they were up 14-0... and it just went downhill from there, way too many mistakes
 
It’s awesome to read all the comments and nobody wants to give our boys credit tonight. We all know we were without multiple players due to injury and suspension and still won on the road by 10. With a freshman quarterback in his first start. I’m not sitting here beating my chest by any means but give our kids some damn credit
 
If I could pick a high school football team to play with I would start with Brawley Massillon at slot, Sherwood from Fitch at QB, Hartson Massillon at RB, then grab the 3 Warren Harding receivers.

Cocky? ???? 40? Bro we had 6 starters out with a Freshmen QB on the road in his first start as a high school football player save the bs it was a great game from both teams don't act like we didn't cause some of them turnovers btw lol
 
Great game to watch. Both teams missing critical players apparently. Tiger D blitz, and freshman QB stepped up. Brawley stepping up as usual, almost reminds me of Bo Grunder type player, I’ll never forget the best punt return against warren way back,
. Fitch QB looked something special. Zebras handed Fitch some help, Fitch handed Massillon some help. But that doesn’t negate the effort the tigers put in. Best of luck to both teams moving forward. Would love to meet again this year.
 
Lol … so let me get this straight… poor Fitch is missing 2 rbs so they’re hurt, but Massillon is starting a backup freshman qb ( far and away the most important position on the team which Fitch still has playing and a very good one at that), also missing their RB who ran for just shy of a million yards against Harding (who is far and away massillons best player) and several other players due to an “investigation “. And Fitch is the better team?

Massillon's defense was tough. They really settled down and got after Sherwood. Moore called a great second half. Your running back was tough too. The freshman QB looks like he's going to be a great one. I would not be upset losing to this team because they are good. I just hate losing when we screw ourselves up. Even if we didn't make mistakes, Massillon still could have won because Moore would have called it differently and this may have become more of a 42-35 game with either team being able to win it. Massillon did not make mistakes and that is how you win games. Good win for you guys. I am more upset with some of the play calls after we got down. The linebacker made a great play an picked that ball off which led to Massillon putting it away. The QB also made a great throw to put Massillon is scoring position. What made me mad was Fitch went into a 3 - 4 defense on that play. Why they did that I do not know. Massillon also wore us down. You can't make mistakes against good teams. Massillon played like a team that knows how to win big games and was able to pull it out. Congrats. You guys deserve it because you are facing adversity too. I just know we have to fix this running back situation or we are in real trouble with Harding, Canfield, and Boardman still to play.
