Surprised the EE lost given evil’s rise since Covid fascism began a few years back.
Losses are tough on a program that has emphasized winning over everything else since it’s inaugural losing season in 1962
Maybe this is a sign that evil is on the wane and the world can find some sanity in the new year.
Funny that our worst season in years and your best season in years ended up exactly the same way. Surprised you aren't hiding in a hole after that debacle. Marshall is back next year. The question is do they have improved qb play and are there any receivers that pose a legit threat like tennel. If not defenses can solely focus on stopping Marshall. Their oline is graduating so they face some of what X dealt with this year.

There are never comparisons to be drawn between the EE and the StX football program.
At X winning is a by product of doing things the right way, it is not the focus.

Coach Elder showed early on that he was worthy of the title of HC at the EE:

No JV team or Varsity team will be fielded in year 1 of the purge. JV will be added in year 2 and Varsity in year 3.
Coaches hired from here on out cannot have any prior affiliation to the EE.
Returning players from the 2022 EE teams are not allowed.....they can transfer to another school (not X) or they can play soccer.
Prospective football parents and players have to know that Big Moe no longer "plays ball"
Leniency when it comes to discipline will not occur, grades will not be fixed, money will not change hands, applications will not be altered, material items not provided, Hawaiians not housed in a coaches basement, playing time earned not promised/given etc.

The GCL (Greater Catholic League) was formed in 1928.
The charter members were Elder, Purcell, Roger Bacon and StX.
Newport Central Catholic made it a 5 league team in 1935, 1949, 1950 and 1951.
From 1928 until 1961 the league was competitive as each school took turns as league champion.
For 33 years the league was harmonious and competitive as all the schools shared a common mission: develop young Christian men.
Winning on the gridiron was a byproduct not the focus.
Then in 1962 Moeller opened and was regrettably admitted to the league.
In just 1 year Moeller, led by head coach and snake oil salesman Fuzzy Faust, destroyed the parity and harmony that the league had enjoyed for 33 years
