WEEK 1 Ravenna @ Tallmadge (8/20)

That is a good description of Tallmadge too. They have a very good QB and 4 solid receivers. A quick RB that should get some yards. It will come down to the line play for Tallmadge how successful they are this season.

Rivals from the " old Metro " league. Some of those teams were: Ravenna, Tallmadge, Springfield, Akron Ellet ( before they went back to city series), Stow, North Canton Hoover, Coventry...others???

I know they were both part of the old Summit county/ Suburban league. They may have had a stint in Metro as well. Would you believe Mogadore, Hudson, Twinsburg, Revere( then BATH- Richfield), Nordonia ( then Northfield- Macedonia), Manchester, Green, Boston Twp (and Pennisula prior to becoming Woodridge)were all in a league together at one time!

The Metro League that I remember from the 80s was; Tallmadge, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Ravenna, Nordonia, Kent Roosevelt, and Springfield. Barberton came in around 86/87 and Springfield left.

Throwback Thursday. Still fits!!
