WCSA shrunk considerably over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if they had less than 30 teams when Kings Hammer took them over. Not necessarily as a result of the takeover, but none-the-less it is happening, the club is losing a number of coaches - some of whom had a loyal following. When coaches leave, this often results in players at least considering their options at other clubs. The club is also making a number of changes to the program, in terms of number of practices, fees, etc. When all of this is combined with the fact that families will be purchasing new uniforms, there is an incentive to at least be curious and explore other options. What's the anticipation for the current WCSA teams now that they move forward as Kings Hammer North? Will many of the families still send players to tryouts, or will the be looking at other local options? I guess I'm curious how the current players/families respond to this change.
WCSA draws from Mason, Kings school district, Lebanon, Westchester, Monroe, Springboro, Centerville, and other parts North of Cincinnati. There's a lot of competition for players, and Kings Hammer is not an established name up there. I would not be surprised if they lose more players; especially any top talent players.
