I'm sure many of you that follow Tallmadge sports and have had kids play HS sports in Tallmadge have eaten John's Cookies. Sad story in the Tallmadge Express about his untimely passing:

John Shinosky preferred pedaling to stepping on a gas pedal.

“He was an avid cyclist,” said Andy Shinosky, John Shinosky’s older brother on Tuesday. “He literally put more miles on his bicycle than he did on his car.”

Mr. Shinosky, 56, of Tallmadge, died doing one of the things he loved. In a press release issued Tuesday, Stow police said that Mr. Shinosky was riding his bicycle southbound on Young Road at Call Road when he was struck by a 2005 F-350 pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Medina man eastbound on Call Road just before 1 p.m. on Sunday. Police said the Medina man was uninjured.
