I would think so (I know one of the assistants just got a job in the building), but I also wouldn't be surprised if they opened it up to make sure they have the right guy. I would love to know what the plan of the next coach would be for the program.
 
I know its early but any teams released, or have lacrosse schedules for the upcoming season out? I saw WRA released their schedule and there are a lot of SW Ohio teams on it.

Saw Mason' got released. Really hampered by having to play all GMC teams twice. Who do it help to play Fairfield, Oak Hills twice?
 
Just saw the X schedule and its another grinder. On the flip side they have like 13 home games and 4 away games.
 
Yeah, went and looked at it after you posted. Tough schedule, will definitely be ready come playoff time. Wonder why Mason isn't on the schedule? And Charlotte Catholic? seems out of right field but seems like a fun trip.

I think that’s at tail end of their spring break, so that’s good they get to do something instead of just practice

Doubtful lol. Sidenote one of the top players from Indian Hill just transferred to X to start 2nd semester Ethan Cole. He play middle and did face off for IH. Also played QB at IH. Wonder why the move at this point? Also anyone here familiar with the limitations on him due to the transfer? I would assume it's somewhat similar to fb with him not being able to play in playoffs and having to sit a few games this season. Not sure if it impacts fb next season.

I think he can play half of the regular season and then sit the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.

Did a little research on him, only a Sophomore so would have 2 more years of full seasons. Maybe exposure? Better competition? who knows

The only teams i can see cutting people are X Moeller Mason and maybe some others but if you want to learn the game and play most coaches in the city will give you a shot, decent amount of teams really don’t have a choice but to have an open door policy because of low numbers.

Its amazing for there to be so many lacrosse clubs, how low the numbers actually are at most schools. However I guess when you really think about it, it goes to show that people that play/want to play is spread out, or concentrated at certain schools. Either way I would assume most teams at this point are pretty set. Can't wait to see this season unfold!

Teams are either set or cut my friend, should be a good year
 
Went with a friend who's son plays for St. X to their scrimmage against Hilliard Davidson and St. Ignatius. Their team looked pretty good. Some new bodies, that I'm not sure who they are yet, but it looks like the Bombers aren't missing a beat.
 
That liberty moeller game going to OT for liberty to pull it out. Some exciting lacrosse to kick off the season!

Sorry i think thats odd- a sophomore transfer player? Some of those families have been a part of the program for 4 years- has to ruffle some feathers

It may have. However he was an effective and had some really good production. His stick skills weren't bad and he could score and play defense. Overall he made the team better and that's what I think the overall focus has been this year. Best players play.

Why would it ruffle some feathers? This is high level lacrosse. Best players play when you are #1 ranked in the state.

This isn’t about playing time, the game Captain part is odd- and I know for a fact the situation caused some grumbling among the X parents

My post wasn’t about playing time (I agree- best players play) but about the “honorary captain” part- that’s really odd to me and I know it did cause some grumbling among X parents.

Ahhhhhh gotcha. Your comment makes so much more sense now. I could see how that could rub some the wrong way, especially considering some of the things the headcoach has done in the past.

Let em grumble. That is why he is the coach and they are the parents. If they want participatiin trophies then theybare at the wrong school.
