Classic is next weekend. Psych sheets should be out this weekend though.

I'm not even swimming 100back lolol.
That being said, I think the freestyles will all be very good races, especially the 200 and 500. I'd agree with your predictions with nymberg winning the 1fly and with turner winning the 2bk.

I wish we could pull off a meet of this caliber up in the Central. I don't know all the swimmers that well down south but I wouldn't put it past Turner winning more than the 2 XS1 listed for him. I also would not be surprised if Rutter pulls out one of the IMs. CH are you swimming the 2Fly? If so, I'd put my money on you over Nymberg, though it should be close.

lets see.....
ill leave the freestyles up to someone else and these aren't in a specific order.

100 back: Turner, pohlman, stover
200 back: turner, pohlman, mcdonald

100 breast: rutter, cope, richmond
200 breast: hodge, rutter, cope

100 fly: nymberg, pohlman, hancher
200 fly: hodge, house, nymberg

200 IM: turner, hodge, house
400 IM: turner, hodge, house

50 free: Westrick, Pohlman, German, Vester
100 free: Cope, Nymberg, Westrick, Vester
200 free: Rutter, George, Cope, Westrick, Slabe
500 free: House, George, Higgins, Slabe, Carroll
1650 free: Slabe, Higgins, Josephson, Mosko, Worobetz

100 back: Turner, Pohlman, Kolosieke, Worobetz, McDonald
200 back: Turner, Hodge, Worobetz, McDonald, Kolosieke

100 fly: Nymberg, Pohlman, Hancher,
200 fly: House, Hodge, Nymberg

100 breast: Rutter, Richmond, Cope
200 breast: Rutter, Hodge, Richmond, Cope

200 I.M: Turner, Hodge, Rutter, House
400 I.M: Turner, Hodge, House

The I.M's are going to be the most exciting races to watch. With the exception of Ross Palazzo, the most elite swimmers in the state are swimming the same events this weekend.

On a side note, the districts I.Ms and mid distance freestyle look very strong this year but the sprint freestyle seems to be lacking compared to other districts.

I was looking at the psych sheets and I noticed that Pohlman wasnt swimming the 100 fly, I guess he wants to be rested for a backstroke. I also saw that stover has already been a 50.80 this season in the fly. with this, my new fly predictions (in no order)

100: Stover, Nymberg, Hancher
200: Hodge, House, Nymberg Pohlman

50 free: Westrick, Pohlman, German, Vester
100 free: Cope, Nymberg, Westrick, Vester
200 free: Rutter, George, Cope, Westrick, Slabe
500 free: House, George, Higgins, Slabe, Carroll
1650 free: Slabe, Higgins, Josephson, Mosko, Worobetz

100 back: Turner, Pohlman, Kolosieke, Worobetz, McDonald
200 back: Turner, Hodge, Worobetz, McDonald, Kolosieke

100 fly: Nymberg, Pohlman, Hancher,
200 fly: House, Hodge, Nymberg

100 breast: Rutter, Richmond, Cope
200 breast: Rutter, Hodge, Richmond, Cope

200 I.M: Turner, Hodge, Rutter, House
400 I.M: Turner, Hodge, House

I think you're pretty close TOG however I'll suggest that Skoufalos (7 Hills)will not only place in the top 4 of the 50 free, I'll say he wins it. I'll also say that Higgins (Oakwood) wins both the 500 and 1650. I also will predict that Josh McDonald (LE) gets into the top 5 of the mile.

I forgot about Panos and I agree with that. The 50 is a toss up. Josh McDonald has already produced fast times this year in the 500 so I'm sure he can make top 5 in the 500 and mile. Higgins has a great chance at winning the mile, but I think House and George will be too much for him in the 500.

I'll predict that Josh McDonald goes fast this weekend but then does not go that much faster at his tapered meet. I've heard rumors that the McDonald boys' goal at state is to go 1-2 in the 500....:Ohno: :Ohno:

I saw the Miami A psych sheets were redone and a closer examination revealed that Grant House pulled out of Saturday's events... Is he ok?

They pulled all of the automatic qualifiers for the 500, 1650, 4IM, which are timed finals, off the individual psych sheets for each site. If you look under the qualifiers section House is swimming the 500 and 4IM on Saturday at finals.

Grant House is a phenom who WILL NOT lose an event this weekend #GrantHouse #CooperHodgewilllose #:crush:

Ah! Thanks for the clarification Sevens, I missed that.

Should be a great weekend of swimming!

It's interesting to note that 5 of the top 7 teams were division 2 this year. The balance of power seems to be shifting towards the smaller schools.

For those who missed it in person or don't have access to the Waycross channels to watch it again and again, here's the links to our coverage of the weekend's festivities:

Saturday

Sunday

There's also plenty interviews with race winners who made their way up to our announce position.

Watching the videos online and I'm sort of curious as to why so many people suited up for this meet. I realize it is the biggest non-district/state meet throughout the season but I didn't expect to see swimmers such as Hodge, Pohlmann, and Rutter suit up. Maybe it's just because I'm from the Northwest and am not used to seeing this mid-season.. Any thoughts?

I can see why the D2 swimmers suited up. Many of the top swimmers for D2 do not taper for state due to the lack of competition. I know Mitchel Stover was shaved, suited up, and I presume he was tapered.

That's a good point. However, I too was very surprised by the number of kids that suited for this meet. Some of the swims (and times) were also indicative of rest I think.

Overall great meet to watch though. Pohlmann's 100 back was really something to see and I also enjoyed watching Hodge and Rutter go at it in the breast and the 3 man race in the 400 IM.

Looking forward to championship season!

Was Moeller suited and/or tapered for this meet?

I came down to watch Sunday night finals and would have to agree with most of the comments based on what I saw. Lots of DII boys were suited and several appeared shaved, so at a minimum rested. Several Moeller boys were suited up (Nymberg and George were not). I would doubt any taper took place. When they walked by me for their interview, their legs were full of hair. No sense tapering if you're not shaving. The other big name that suited up was House, no way Brower would allow a taper or rest for this meet for House.

It seemed like there were a lot of kids that took this meet a little too seriously, and I believe that the kids that didn't suit up or rest will surpass the kids that did significantly when it matters at districts and state.

Also the X kids did not rest for the meet, and it didn't appear that the Manta Ray or Countryside kids did either.
