OHSAA Board of Directors Meeting Highlights

The Board approved 10-year contract extensions with Nationwide Arena in Columbus and Firestone Stadium in Akron to host the OHSAA’s state tournaments in ice hockey and softball, respectively, through 2027.

Blah. BG was a great site. Nationwide is way too big. Don't like it. No atmosphere.

I thought the move might help Central/SW Ohio hockey advance, but not as much progress as I thought.

Holding it a Nationwide makes sense, though, so I am fine with it. Better facility then BG or Brooklyn, even with empty seats galore.

It was better when hosted by BGSU. Nationwide is too big.
