Ideally, we shouldn't limit opportunities for kids. However, seeing as the OHSAA wont just suddenly sanction every high school sport all at once, I have my list of priorities of what I think should be sanctioned. Now seeing as Bowling is a done deal, than my opinion is meaningless. But I don't think bowling should have been sanctioned before rugby.

It's been a sanctioned sport since the 2006-07 school year.

Bowling is one of those sports that definitely belongs in the OHSAA. It's easy to maintain and organize and nearly every school in the state has several kids who grew up participating in a Saturday morning league.

From talking to others, it's one of the most fun State Tournaments to attend. What makes it great is that so many teams make it down there and individuals make it too. You have people from all over the state making the trip to watch these young athletes.
