Region 28 Playoffs

As Tri-Village was slowly moving down the field at the end of the first half with those short passes, I fully expected the Flyers D to come up with a stop at some point. They chewed up a little over 4 minutes on that drive. QB made nice throws under pressure. On the very last play of the drive, the Qb was running for his life, being chased by a host of Flyers and threw a strike into the end zone as time expired. That really pumped them up and that gave them motivation to keep playing hard in the second half. On some level I was happy for those kids. They played like it was a tied game all the way to the end. Marching down the field will be a more daunting task for Ansonia, because they do it with the run, which isn't easy against ML. Marion Local has looked a little unfocused at times these first two games, but I expect they'll tighten the screws this week as big challenges are coming soon. They'll remember that opening drive by Ansonia last year that ate up all but one minute of the first quarter and a mere 7-0 lead at half. I'm expecting the first half to go different this time.

I have no idea what happened to FL but can’t say I’m mad lol bus ride hangover is a legit thing but only scoring 7 points on a team like that is not good.
Six turnovers for starters. 1 for 7 in scoring with trips inside the 30. Don't want to make an excuse but a two hour bus ride after earlier in the day driving to Dayton, watching their classmates win a state championship, then driving back home was a lot on the kids. There was a bit of a "not wanting to be there" vibe.

whats your thoughts on CCP? a little scouting report on them?

Game was at 11 AM. Im 100% all for supporting your teammates at the state title match or game or whatever they call it. With that being said they 100% should’ve had either brought the kids to Dayton and stayed there or stayed back in FL and had a watch party there.

Likely FL overlooking CCP in my opinion

sounds like Coldwater had a watch party, but then their girls played later in the day. lot of time on I-75 that day

So the kids on the football team aren't allowed to celebrate with their classmates and friends? That's a little ridiculous don't you think? Once in a lifetime chance but you don't get to have any fun because your on the football team? Come on.

You guys will dominate them. Speed out of the defensive ends gave us trouble but no size at that spot. Your athleticism at Tackle will slow them down. Their three TD's were off a short field (15 yards), a 90 yard TD run on third and five where the guy broke a tackle then got around the edge because of poor contain, and a 95 yard scoop six. Other than the one TD run, our defense was able to make up for the speed disadvantage fairly easily. QB can't throw the ball at all. Wouldn't be surprised if you shut them out, running clock in the second half, all that good stuff.

We were able to move the ball easily, just couldn't punch it in. Their safety is quite good, very fast, other than that and the end that gave us trouble the defense has a lot of holes.

If you read his post again, clearly said either stay in Dayton or watch in FL. Spending the majority of the day on the bus by going to Dayton, back to FL, then all the way down to Cincinnati is alot. How long were those boys stuck on a bus? It's great to support fellow school teams but not at the detriment of your own team IMO.

What bus? The football players drove their own cars or went with their parents. I'm not saying it's the reason for the loss, it just didn't help. The kids shouldn't be forced to have to watch their classmates with a state title on TV just because they play football. Take away the football team and the volleyball team loses a ton of support. Not like there are 2,000 students at the school!

Loramie isn't the first team to have their volleyball team play in the finals the same time as a football playoff game. What I and others are saying is that they should have planned the day better for the boys on the football team. Spending the entire day traveling isn't a recipe for success
