#PACtion™ 2024

Your probably right about slightly higher cost for a horse vs. a T although I doubt it was enough to make or break the deal. My guess is they wanted a more clean, traditional look and there were not too many roadblocks with raising the funds for the project with more to come.

As for the soccer lines, I know as much about futbol as I do in trying to cash in on a free beach haus...... I need to learn more from the master's on here
As the resident artist on #PACtion, you are correct about the "T" having a cleaner, more trad look at a lower cost.

As for cashing in on a free beach haus - that takes years of experience, shrewd scouting, and hours of Bravo Network viewing.

Some news gathered from around the PAC ... in no particular order:

Fairless
  • Fairless Camp Days ongoing this week. Looks like the Falcons are practicing in helmets this week and putting in the offense and defense.
  • A 7 on 7 vs. Green on July 12 was canceled
  • The Falcons annual Mount Union Camp Week appears to be next week
Canton South
  • Looks like the Wildcats dropped a 7-on-7 to Malvern last week. From the IVC thread (below)
  • I'm not a believer that summer 7-on-7's tell too much. But the loss of Poochie and Tavon Castle certainly had to be notable here.
  • Also of note, Malvern was good last year (10-2), but they are a Division 7 school. One of those two '23 losses was to a 33-point drubbing vs. Sandy Valley ... which interestingly sported a 7-point Week 3 loss to Canton South.
7on7 tournament last Friday at Claymont
Malvern beat Canton South
Dalton beat Claymont

Finals Malvern beat Dalton

Malvern skill looked really good. All Ohio QB looked really good. Dalton trying to replace a lot from last year.

Triway
  • Summer Camp practices this week and next week
  • Multiple 7-on-7's scheduled: At Dalton - Thursday at 6 PM; at Wooster w/ Norwayne - Next Tuesday at 5 PM; vs. Loudonville - July 19 at 10 AM; vs. Ontario - July 20 at 10 AM
  • @thePITman: Are all these 7-on-7s happening?
Northwest
  • Pretty much radio silence in the cyber universe for the Indians
  • 2024 questions: Who replaces the big bodies in the trenches on the OL? Cody Tackett, Joseph Prexta and Morgan Kunkle are gone to graduation, and so is Connor Satterfield at running back. Northwest always seems to reload. Who is waiting in the wings?
Orrville
  • The Red Riders are putting in the work as well this summer ... but not many details.
  • Back in June, former Orrville and Illinois great Mason Monheim was inducted into the Wayne County Hall of Fame. Here's a 2016 Aaron Dorksen story from The Daily Record that highlights his illustrious football career at Illinois and with the Red Riders.
Manchester
  • All quiet. Home scrimmages on Saturday 8/10 (10 AM) vs. Dalton and Thursday 8/15 (6 PM) vs. Rootstown
Tuslaw
  • The turf is in ... not much in terms of other news.
  • Scrimmages: Friday 8/9 - 6 PM vs. Waynedale; Thursday 8/15 - 6 PM at Sandy Valley

What's everyone's take on this? Many a debate on the ye olde private vs. public. I think it was only a matter of time, not sure if other larger private schools will follow suite and if this is a step towards separating for playoffs.......

I was just looking at that. Columbus to Akron to Youngstown. Tad bit of driving. Walsh is gonna ride high for a while, being the biggest and most formidable of the group. St. v and Walsh ducking Hoban. Can't blame them. Hoban turned into Dematha Catholic.

The biggest surprise this league could pull off would be for it to actually see the light of day; the leagues in the past that have been this spread out have folded very quickly. Slight chance it COULD work for football; it would never work as an all-sports conference.

Some of the best things ever unfortunately folded quicker than Rittman Raylan's "low cost cell phone plan" pyramid scheme.

@Bluestreakoffice was a fan, too:

When that commercial was made in 1980-whatever I'm sure a bunch of Olde Tuff C'lumbus marketing and advertising managers were saying "THIS IS GOLD! THE COLONEL IS DONE!"

------

With the news of the new OCAC, I hope for all that's good and sane in the world CCC is secured in a good league. Unfortunately we can't likely get them in #PACtion™. Or maybe we don't want them?

As long as one of the siters isn't named "Boggs"

That is terrible advice. With paper bags pretty much a thing of the past, both parties may suffocate trying to use plastic bags.:(

An extremely unattractive person

(slang, derogatory) An extremely unattractive person (usually female), the insinuation being that one bag covering her face would not be adequate, but her partner would need to wear one too. synonym ▲ Synonym: double-bagger.

As the resident artist on #PACtion,
Let me get this correct....you are an art critic and now you are an artist?....and the resident artist for PACtion location YAPPI...when and who gave you these titles? Was Rittman, The Shreve Legal Team, and of all places Carrollton...made aware of this....lol
