When I want top journalism I dial up two sources: Leon Bibb and The Bargain Hunter.
Read the Bargain Hunter story and was reminded Nate Schindewolf is the the Supt. at Triway. One of the top basketball players in Manchester history. His dad was pretty good, too, and was the Manchester Head Basketball Coach and AD for a long time. When I want top journalism I dial up two sources: Leon Bibb and The Bargain Hunter.
Fantastic postHere is a helpful PAC-to-Federal League conversion guide to clear things up:
Green is the Orrville of the Federal League (Newer member, since joining has had a few deep playoffs runs in football, but also some very bad years, Orrville has jelly while Green has apple orchards)
Lake is the Tuslaw of the Federal League (Not very densely populated, smallest school in the league, wears red, white and blue, used to play each other in the Senate League)
Jackson is the Triway of the Federal League (Wears purple, historically very good at basketball)
Perry is the Manchester of the Federal League (Panthers, great football tradition but now struggling to find success after a legendary coach retired a few years ago)
McKinley is Canton South (located in Canton, so this one was easy)
Hoover is Northwest (Beautiful downtown area for both, was once an industrial hub, North Canton with the vacuum plant, Canal Fulton with the canal, both schools are solid across all sports)
GlenOak is Fairless (bird mascots)

I would love to know some of your stories of Cleveland TV people. At least those that you're comfortable saying here, LOL. The good, the bad, etc.Read the Bargain Hunter story and was reminded Nate Schindewolf is the the Supt. at Triway. One of the top basketball players in Manchester history. As for Leon Bibb, I worked with him for a number of years. He's one of the best storytellers I know.
I'm more of WCAL kinda guy, although my Dad did graduate from the Slaw. So does that make me 25% #PACtion? No hidden meaning related to hoops.
Like most good things, you take stuff from somewhere else and use it. In this case, "Man Lands on Moon" is a common response on another sports forum that I frequent that is used when someone breaks "news" on a topic that has already been discussed or is not really "news" anymore. As in, "you may have missed this, but "Man Lands on Moon. How could you have missed this. It happened in 1969?"
The Holt news broke earlier this week and was posted on the other thread, and may have been referenced here as well (can't remember). It's a snarky response, yes, but in a teasing kind of way. It only really works on an active thread like this, because it's not a surprise that one could miss something that happened two days and five pages ago.
Man Lands on Moon has been used so much in the cuyahogacuse household that it is worn with a badge of (dis)honor, like having to walk around wearing a dunce cap. And it hit home a half-dozen or so years ago when I recall sharing some now nondescript sports news with my teenage son, and he looked at me and deadpanned, "Man Lands on Moon, Dad."
On the one hand, I recall thinking, how could I have missed that? On the other, there was satisfaction. It was a good parenting moment. The kid got the concept, and I came to the realization that I was no longer the primary source of sports knowledge for my son.
Anyway, @Bulldogs1275 ... Welcome to #PACtion™. Join the fun. Post more often.
I'll now go crawl back into my hole, wearing my own dunce cap for spending 6+ paragraphs to explain delayed Moon Landing references.

Looks like an ideal layout for throwing franks at the sprinters from the other schools. Not the anemic and overpriced Dairy Queen dogs, but those fatties parked on the rollers at Circle K. The booster club's concession stand can't be held liable for those meaty sausages that are concealed in a hoodie pocket, should they cause real damage to one of the athletes. #ContactSport #WhenDogsFly #PACtion™Construction began this week on the home side bleachers (home fans will be looking south from those bleachers) at the new James R. France Stadium in Manchester. Things are looking good at the new place, lots of work to still be completed in the next 4 months. The new high school building is also on schedule for starting the 2024-25 school year after Labor Day.

Looks great! Question though, what is the deal with the varsity baseball field? Viewing is terrible, can't say for sure about the playing surface itself overall, but seems like there was a bit of a swing and a miss the with location and how it was designed......Construction began this week on the home side bleachers (home fans will be looking south from those bleachers) at the new James R. We've talked about how some in the Manchester community are upset about the new stadium (some folks are never going to be happy), but if this sidewalk extends around the entire perimeter of the fence then maybe they'll be able to bring some of that "mojo" to the new place after all.Construction began this week on the home side bleachers (home fans will be looking south from those bleachers) at the new James R. It'll be different, but I'm sure I'll find a place along that fence to call my own, just like I did at the old stadium. If you want instant, expert analysis of the game while it's happening, the fence is the place to go. You have Manchester football alums ranging in age from 90 to 19 all providing their color commentary!Construction began this week on the home side bleachers (home fans will be looking south from those bleachers) at the new James R. Is Bellstores now the whore of #PACtion??? I feel like such a piece of meat.......I know this is the football thread but I thought I should post- Now that the Nimishillen waters have lowered (hopefully for the season) Tim Miller Field at Canton South yesterday recieved a major facelift from the gracious hands of Bellstores.
Though our history in #PACtion™ is very brief- I think its something to note the past success Canton South has had in baseballView attachment 57586View attachment 57587View attachment 57588View attachment 57589View attachment 57590View attachment 57591
