OHSAA Tournament. Southwest..

If Refs have to talk about it that long it isn't a goal. Heard there may have been a hand ball by OH. If that were the case then let MND take a PK and make a shot to win it instead of calling that a goal.
After watching video. Was definitely a handball. But probably the right call was a PK. Either way probably the same result. Great game and great win MND. Good luck.

With about 5 minutes left, after a scrum in front of OH goal, the field ref immediately crosses her hands over her head, then runs over to the old man sideline judge to confer... After about 3 minutes they determine its a goal for MND. The woman ref couldn't figure out what happened right in front of her face, but defers to the side judge who was 40 yards away from the play.

OH had a shot hit the cross bar and Penny tried to chip the keeper but it sailed just over the goal. OH won the fouls and corners, but not the game. - OH also had a PerryVsStreesboro goal. Hit the football goalpost and swished the net. No fake goal this time though.
-- OH also got away with a pass back to the keeper, while shielding a MND player the CB knee passed to the keeper who picked up the ball. Should have been an MND P.K. but not called.

All in all, OH out-played and out-coached MND, but didn't out-athlete them.

In Division II, Waynesville beat Tippecanoe 3-1. Next up for the Spartans is a regional semifinal matchup with Granville. The game will be played at Centerville.

Just a quick correction here, a ball to the keeper from the knee to a players own keeper is not a pass back violation.
Separately it sucks this time of year, that it’s over when it’s over. I personally think Oak Hills has out kicked the coverage so to speak. They lost a number of high caliber players and had an exceptional season. Happy for Press that she has had the season she’s had, and for the OH Coach. He’s done an exceptional job. But just as happy for our friends at MND that they move forward. A number of great matchups for regional semi and subsequent finals across all divisions. I’ll truly miss when it’s all done, but I for one am ready for club.

Doesn't sounds like that's a pass back. Even if called, it doesn't result in a PK. Indirect kick is the restart.

No one knows how this is going to turn out. Could go any direction.

In a recent 10 day stretch Seton played MND (2-3), Milford (3-3), and Centerville 1-2. Very close games.

Went to watch the Mount Notre Dame and Oak Hills game at Princeton last night. Seemed like the best District final game (Between 2 local teams). Pennekamp is an absolute star. She would go 1v3 at players and still get a great look off. Incredible player. Thought OH had the better of the chances, but this time in the tournament all you need is one opportunity. Both teams have a lot of young talent that will be fun to watch next year. Game could have gone with way. Congrats to MND. Some great regional semi-finals on deck.

*The goal was a little confusing. Ball actually never went into the goal? But the officials talked on the sideline for 1 minute and decided it was a goal.

Granville is east of Columbus. Next to Newark. 2 hours plus from Centerville. Waynesville is 15 minutes from Centerville. Is that the best OHSAA can do for the fans?

Anyone know when tickets for the Waynesville game Tuesday will be available?

EDIT: They are now available.
