Ohio State Recruiting

Clemson is currently reeling in some Ohio type players that would never see the field at OSU but the problem is under NO circumstances should these kids be going down to podunk Clemson SC over other Big Ten schools

Actually Clemson is a rather attractive place for recruits. Beautiful campus, great facilities, relatively mild winters, and a rabid fan base that makes for an electric game day experience. That and in many ways Upstate South Carolina is more urban, sophisticated, and progressive than the Midwest. I realize Dabo is an odd duck, but he has created a consistent top ten program with two national championships so that has to be appealing to a recruit over Champaign-Urbana, Dekalb, or East Lansing. The disadvantage Clemson is facing is staying competitive in terms of NIL and revenue sharing.

Every single college has some level of attractiveness. The fact is the rest of the Big Ten cannot be letting these kids get away especially to schools like Clemson

I get your point but do the other midwest schools aside from Michigan and Notre Dame really have a commitment to be championship contenders? Would they rather recruit in their own states, win 6 or 7 games, and just collect their tv revenue sharing checks? I guess I am worrying that the changes in CFB are eventually going to lead to a super conference of 24 or 32 schools (NFL Lite?) with every body else left out. I would find that sad from a fan standpoint and lessen scholarship opportunities for deserving athletes.
