Ohio State Football 2024

I dont know about this hand wringing. This game was 21-0 at the half. Oregon/ Purdue score at the half? 21-0.
Notre Dame took Purdue to the 'shed cuz they were humiliated by NIU.
We are NOT going to win every snap. If Georgia played Troy they would not win every snap. Some of you act as if this is Moeller vs Vanlue
Never seen so many unrealistic whiners & trolls in my life … except maybe for the debate forum … 😂😂😂

Every offensive play of ours should at least get 10 yards. Every offensive play of theirs should lose yards. Keep in mind, a lot of those on here never played this game in which they feel they are experts.

That was pretty good coverage and a great catch. As Winfield or Springs once said they got scholarship athletes too.
But it’s time, after time, after time he gets beat. If it’s once every so often then so be it but any time teams target him he’s pretty useless

If you are feeling good and want to feel down just come to the this forum it will do the job. Like i have posted before some posters can't wait for some players to fail esp. the QB so they can justify their dislike/hate for that player.
Some of these same people though Stroud was garbage. They simply do not know what they are watching. And they apparently enjoy being miserable.

You need to remember, the alphabet crowd, thats AEW, Quebec, and Sparty, share a brain. It’s very small, very negative, very dumb, and made of manure. Maybe a little bit of funny bone in there. But mostly just dumb.

Gus loves OSU a little too much and I say that as an OSU fan 😂

I can only imagine how annoying "the world famous" shtick is to opposing/neutral fans.
I'm not an OSU fan at all and I would probably be lumped in with the OSU haters group, but I still think that "the world famous Ohio State Buckeyes" is a great call for a broadcaster. If anything it's memorable.

OSU gets the bias because they're good, consistently. Gus calls a lot of their games as well so it's natural. I'm sure Indiana would love to knock off the world famous Buckeyes in two weeks.

Overall, a somewhat unenergetic performance against a bad team. No real concerns for me. Another walk in the park next week.

Agreed. Howard isn't a bad qb, but his arm strength is very average and leads to underthrows on deep passes
Posters always focus on the negative with Howard and not the positive. CJ Stroud couldn't run that is all that was ever posted. Carson Beck was the no.1 QB coming into the season he is a turnover machine right now. With Howard because of his running ability OSU is almost unstoppable in the red zone. Howard is a very good college QB, better IMO than that "beast" McCord. And again, nobody on yappi knows what his leadership qualities are like, very important trait at the QB position. I am glad he is a Buckeye.

I agree. Howard reminds me a bit of Craig Krenzel or Stetson Bennett, quarterbacks who won championships without insane athleticism or arm strength.

He’s from Detroit. I agree he sounds like a fan much of the time, but I gotta believe he is a Michigan fan at heart.

Howard isn't bad. His limitation is the deep ball. Other than that, he's fine

It's not bias. It's how he honors Jesse Owens who, among other incredible things, dominated the Olympics in 1936 in NAZI BERLIN, GERMANY - showing the absurdity of the idea that blacks are an inferior race. Jesse being a Buckeye, made Ohio State WORLD famous because of the point he made to the world at those Olympics.

He is closer to Bennett in a sense, but the difference is that he is 6-5, 230 lbs.

He is like CK in terms of maturity, leadership, toughness, calmness, representing the team to the media, and how much his teammates love him.

He is very unlike Krenzel in that he is a much better passer. The stats are not even close in completion %, yards, TDs, and turnovers. People forget that Krenzel threw a ton of interceptions - because he usually made up for them with some gritty plays.

That said, Krenzel played in the Tressel-ball system, so it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison, but the completion % and interceptions shows who is who. Krenzel was fantastic for the system he played in. Right now, in this system and what Ohio St needs, Howard is so, so good - and anyone who can't see that should take up being fans of powder puff girls water polo or something. :)
