The Ohio State Wrestling Team has a goal to raise money to help support fellow Wrestling Team members. If you're able to participate and bring us closer to our goal, that would be amazing. If you’re unable to help please share with others who may be able to help us out. Thank you for your time in thinking about helping us student athletes out. Every little bit of support helps.
Thank you,
Ohio State wrestlers

Ohio State wrestle Off Info - Preliminary wrestle offs(Getting each weight class to the final 2) will occur on Tuesday October 24th. These are held in our practice room. Ohio State will try to stream these.

Final wrestle offs will occur on Thursday October 26th @ 7:00 p.m. in Covelli Arena. These will be a full production like an actual dual meet with fans, etc. It is free to the public and no ticket is necessary. Doors will open at 6:30. These will be livestreamed on BTN+ like last year. Be sure to check out our social media pages as we get closer for bracket releases, etc.

Was told Monday brackets will be released but could come earlier.

Just to be clear…
Lightweights should not be cancelled. I am not a “canceller” (is that a word?).
What I do believe is this…
OHSAA should have one less weight between 106 & 157; and one more between 157 & 285. This is my true belief.

And in the beginning of this thread, I agreed that college wrestling should have another weight between 197 and 285.
That is all.

Also, I don’t think Pink Floyd has any real thoughts on the subject.
For the record, the OHSAA bases their weight classes off of NFHS recommendations. NFHS is the national body that sets the weight classes for most, if not all, states for high school wrestling.

it would be nice for these wrestle offs on thursday to have some music playing for some back ground music.way to quiet of an atmosphere.no one wants to cheer any certain wrestler for fear to upset a parent or team mate.way to quiet

You are right, way to quiet during wrestle offs. I’m used to being loud and it took me a few years to be quiet during them the whole time. We’ll see how I am this go around. Best of luck to all the Ohio State Athletes
