OCC Outlook

Matchpoint17's? If so i think i know who u r talkin about... He was good for THEM but definitely not college D1 material at all IMO

bronze? were talking 17's, im pretty sure there weren't enough teams to even make a silver. i think they beat attack in the semi's too at the ovr regional. they would have never played 18's.

I donno, I remember seeing him at the 18's tourneys with my squad who was 18s. So i have no clue.

The OCC Cardinal Division will be close this year, and barring a major setback Pick North will win the division. The only thing that will keep them from winning is the inconsistency of their young setter. Everywhere else is solid. Worthington Kilbourne will be a young, inexperienced team this year with two of their best players out, but I wouldn't sleep on them. Westerville North will be a solid team, and would be my pick to come in second in the division. Passing will be that teams greatest obstacle, and their lack of good coaching. Davidson did not participate in the Cardinal Classic, but I can only speculate that they will not be anywhere close to as good as they were last year. So here's how I think the Cardinal Division will end up.

1. Pick North
2. Westerville North
3. Worthington Kilbourne
4. Hilliard Davidson
5. Dublin Scioto

first of all, i am young.i turn 18 in september. second of all pancake, we got silver at regionals, and if im not d1 material, then why am i going d1, and why am i being recruited, and if im not good enough, who would waste their time. think of that bud, and get your facts

the whole reason i made my own thread was some people wanted to know why i wasnt playing. you guys turned it into a lot more than what it was. it wasnt to be on top of the world or whatever, it was to answer why i wasnt playing.

my high school coach wasnt at all supportive of me playing in college and mostly d1. he said a bunch of stuff behind my back to other coaches that know me, and they would call me and tell me what he was saying. it was a very bad situation that i did not want to be apart of. it wasnt worth it my senior year. there is much more but im not aloud to say the rest. it was just a bad situation for any player to be in. im not the first hes done this to, he did it to another player last year. hes just a bad person

Maybe this is just me, because I never played for his team, but Parcells was and always has been a very nice guy to talk to.

Again, I don't get the full experience of him as a coach, but from my experiences he was always a class act.

Sorry dude maybe you just had an off match or something... Or maybe its because the rest of your team isnt very strong but i was not really impressed with you... Ill give you u put up a strong block and can hit a very good slide, but idk. Im done

For a team whose average age was less than 15.5, I think they did a pretty good job in finishing second in the region in the 17's division.

Although i did hear it was very low i believe it was a little higher than that... But im not gonna lie the 17s club teams for this region are overall very weak so although thats good they came in second they didnt have much competetion... Look at any of the big tourneys they have been too.

I think the Cincinnati Attack 17's team would take offense to that comment since they have recieved a bid to the Open division at nationals. I am also aware that the Matchpoint team ended up finishing 15 spots higher than they were seeded in the tournament. I think that's a decent acomplishment.

yea those cincinnati attack 17s beat Vanguard all the time lol, they were very solid and I wouldnt say they were weak by any means.

sorry dreger....just thought that someone of your superior caliber would be more well known or at least somewhat memorable....just my opinion

Why would someone open a thread to talk about something, invite questions and hide behind "not allowed to say the rest." If the player last year got through it (did he?), why couldn't you? Seems to me you put yourself before the team. On another thread I think you referred to your former teammates as something like 'your boys' - those would be the same ones you let down by not playing. Putting yourself before the team - that's called selfish.

Good point, was thinking the same thing, but didnt feel like typing it.

i cant tell all of it because there is a restraining order against me and him. im not allowed to all of the material. just basics

What would u and him having a restraining order against each other have to do with you telling us why? Thats between you 2, doenst have anything to do with releasing information, unless your parents dont want u telling everyone or whatever, I understand that.

Again, knowing that, why would you start a thread and invite questions when you know BEFOREHAND you probably are not permitted to address them?

That set aside, it seems to me you may have made the right choice not to play - as unfortunate as it is. But, the fact of the matter remains, your teammates were hurt worse than you or the coach - and that's a shame for them.

Wow way to stay classy. I thought the Cincinnati kids were somewhat understanding on this forum. Clearly, I was wrong.

its not my fault that im not playing, i started the thread to tell people why im not playing, i cant go into the hard details, i hate the coach but i respect him enough to not tell what he did to ruin a couple of kids high schools careers and make volleyball not fun anymore. i wish i could tell you more, i want to, but i cant

I don't see how that wasn't classy. Pancake understands so I can't figure out why you're saying he isn't classy. All he said was that he has never heard of Dreger for being good at volleyball (neither have I). What's wrong with him saying that?
