NE8 2024

Appreciate that. Anyone who doesn’t want other conference teams to win is just weird. I’m no Hubbard fan what so ever but I was extremely pumped when they beat down Steubenville with Daniels and co
I agree totally about not being a fan of conference rivals what so ever lol, but it's time for Struthers to take their play to the next level. They have the team and coaching staff to make it happen now, and hopefully, they are properly conditioning before the season to do it.

Caffey was 3rd string on the depth chart. He would have gotten a lot of playing time.
He was 5th behind peoples and Williams out of spring but was still gonna play some. Hope he comes back stronger then before, losing 2 to the draft will mean he needs to help next fall

They're not losing in D4. Hamm (D1) 6'3 240 transferred back; Perez (D1) a DT 6'4 330; and 6'2 225 LB Roddy transferred in. Gill (D1), a 6'3 230 DL/LB transfer that was ineligible for last year's playoffs, is back. Put them with George (D1), Scales (D1), Sadler (D1), Newell (D1), Crittenden (D1), Lemons (D1), and Johnson (D1), and that's easily one of the most talented groups in Ohio. Their O-line features a pair of D1 guys: Whipple (6'3 290), Switzer (6'6 290), and others have D2 and D3 offers, including Bryant (6'3 260). The team is big and loaded. They'd be a Top 10 D2 school this year.
Maybe that's where they belong. That's for another thread though.

When and where are Struthers scrimmages this year? I know they scrimmage West Branch and Canfield just wasn't sure about the dates and time. Thank you.

Watched part of the Howland - Lakeview scrimmage. Lakeview was dominate. Howland isn’t very good and looks to be in trouble this year. Lakeview is probably better but Holy Name scouts were there and the Dogs kept it vanilla. Goal line offense Lakeview was unstoppable, scoring on virtually every play. Dogs have some size, a good back and looks improved on D.

Should be the best team they’ve had since pav left

Poland is now in phase 3 of "Pavlavacation"...I would be surprised if they still have a program in another 2 years. Bush at Lakeview is an issue for the NE8. Lakeview is so much better off. Happy Howland isn't in this league...

How bad is Howland? I'm hearing very good things out of Lakeview.

I don’t know but Lakeview scrimmages Geneva this week which will definitely be more of a challenge . I don’t know . I hear some of these teams are holding players out now , like the nfl preseason lol
I guess it all depends upon the depth that you have and guys that you need to develop. It's a long season. So, I can see why guys get limited reps. A half of football can go by real quick.
