Goodwin when throwing the football loves to go deep. Lause slipped near the goal line in the 4th qtr. to prevent another score. Knouff stays healthy don't turn the football over, I don't see ML losing however I didn't see NB beating the Flyers in 2020 either (stuff does happen).

I like how they finished both games against CW and Minster with powerful clock eating drives.

Actually, I think this year's offense for ML is very similar to the 13 team. Goettemoeller was coming off knee surgery and Bertke esp. in short ydg. or near the goal line ran the football. And in 2012 Bertke scored 98 pts.

The Minster offense has been able to move the ball on the Marion D, probably better than anyone. They just need to find a way to score (easier said than done against the Marion D).

get into that REDzone.. got to get points.. put close to 300 yards on the Steiners.. and didn't get a point... got to HOLD ONTO THE DANG BALL

Minster can't run the football get inside the red zone need to be able to run the football. ML gets inside the 10 yd. line the Flyers go I formation or run Knouff. On defense Minster plays their safeties back to prevent big plays but can't stop the run (Flyers rushed for 360 yds. vs Minster). As long as Knouff is healthy the Flyers will not lose IMO.

Edit: When playing ML it is pick your poison, stop the run or stop the pass difficult to do both (less your Kirtland). ML never punted vs Minster, one thing Minster did well was eat clock with a short passing game and let the play clock burn down before snapping the ball. But Minster needs to finish drives something difficult to do when a team does not have a power running game.

hopefully have both players back at FULL GO for a anticipated rematch... both are pretty dang Defensive players also..

Minster double teamed the ML WR's and made Knouf try to beat them with his legs. He did. Outsider looking in, Knouf was better that night. I would like to have seen Stephy with his top 2 WR's to see how much better he would have looked. I think Niemeyer very well could have been the OPOY this year. Kid is crazy athletic. I truly feel so bad for him that he got hurt.

Bertke wasn't a four star recruit. but i did find this ranking quite interesting

NOPE.... stephy is pretty dang good, besides, Niemeyer , if healthy is a STUD at receiver......

going into tonights game... Stephy is sittting at 6,900 yards passing for his career

When the new MAC commish told.he he was accepting the job I told him....'State titles are.a direct reflection of the MAC commish' and his answer was." The standard is the standard'...in a Lil more colorful way...

They were in second place at the 1600 and 3200 splits. Strong finish by a couple of the girls got them the finish that they needed to win
 
Versailles Boys Cross Country placed 5th in state today ahead of their seeding. Two boys ran under 16 minutes and the others running under 17 minute 5K. D 2.
 
Public Service Announcent:

Apparenlty the Browns are doing something today in Pregame to honor the life of Cale Wenning, to include having his family and a lot of his friends in attendance.

Supposed to happen around 12:40 so I am unsure if/when it will actually be on broadcast, maybe someone else knows that part.

Per the postings, it says to tune in at 1240, but unsure if it radio or tv, or maybe the national telecast pregame is at commercial or possibly it is when that is the time the telecast goes out to the stadiums for a pregame look in...i just dont know I no longer watch the mind numbing drivvle that is pregame any longer
 
Not tooting our own horn by any means but merely pointing out how quickly a culture can change.

Veterans Day weekend is upon us and most deer hunters know this is PRIME deer hunting time. The big bucks get silly during the rut and do things they wouldn't normally do. Deer hunters NEED to be out to get a shot at that monster wall-hanger they dream of.

And for the first time since 2017, New Bremen deer hunters don't have to make a choice as to where they will be this weekend. The Volleyball girls didn't qualify for State (also happened in 2021) and the football team lost in the 1st round of the playoffs (hasn't happened since expansion).

Just wild to think that 8 years ago, we were dreaming for one shot. And now it feels weird to not be playing this weekend...
