It was Texas in the movie, but at first glance that link reminded me of the final scene in Cast Away, where Tom Hanks stands at the crossroads.

Life is different there.

Been not too far from there. About 40 miles northwest of Laramie is Rock River, Wyoming. Spent quite a bit of time there at the Rock Creek Wind Project.




It definitely is a different place out there. A state almost 400 miles wide, 300 miles tall, and over half a million people in it. A population density of 5.97/sq mi. For context, the least dense county by population in Ohio is Monroe County with 31.9/sq mi.

To better visualize it:

Take the population of Summit County... and spread it out over 2.38 Ohios.
