I think the only age group that won was the 11 year olds. :dang:
Houseofcards would know for sure.
Both the 6&7 year old and 8 year old team lost to Sycamore, a team that has become a real pain in the @$$ for these two coaching staffs. Sycamore beat the 8 year old staff last year both in the regular season and in the Superbowl, both in very close ballgames. This year, the 8's beat them in the regular season, and lost in the Superbowl. I am not sure of the score.
The 6&7 year olds lost 8-6 in the regular season, and were pumped for revenge in the Superbowl. The game was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation, but Sycamore drew first blood in OT, but was unable to convert the extra points. The Little Cards fumbled on (I think) second down, and like four green shirts dove on the ball. It was a great game, but a real downer:dang:
The 9 year olds lost also, to (I think) West Clermont. I do not know the score.
The tens were not in the big game. I think they were knocked out the week before in the playoffs.
The 11 year olds won 12-6 against West Clermont. At the half, they trailed 6-0, and scored to put the game on ice with 1:20 left in the game.
All in all, the Little Cards had a great season, and the future looks bright in years to come for Colerain fottball.
