Now that he has lost for the first time in the opening round of the playoffs, what does his future hold? Still a superstar? Hangs on hoping to catch lightning with another super team? Fades away while waiting for his son to play in the NBA with him? Become a journeyman? Hangs it up within a year or two? Other??
 
 
Lakers caught a bad break against an underseeded Suns team that really took advantage once AD was injured.

Hopefully they can work a trade for Lillard if he doesn't go to the Knicks.

I don't know how many elite years LeBron has left in the tank but the Lakers need to go all out to stack their roster for these next few seasons.

Probably scapegoat the head coach and teammates first. Next step is actively campaigning to get another all start player to play with him because that’s the only way he wins. Another possibility is he jumps to a different team if the roster lines up to his liking.

MJ won with one team and only one all star teammate his entire career. MJ > LeBum
 
The Lakers had a disjointed season without rhythm that resulted in getting a crappy seed and getting wacked in the first round by a team that had a lot of rhythm and the second best record in the regular season. Phoenix is probably getting to at least the conference finals.

I'm sure the go to answer is going to be that the Lakers need to figure out how to add another star player, but they need some role player upgrades, specifically interior and pick and roll defense out of the center position. 1-2 reliable shooters wouldn't hurt as well.
 
The only thing LeBron had on Jordan was no first round exits.

At least he won't see 7 losses in the Finals.

3 years in LA:

1) Losing record and sitting "injured"

2) Wins "title" in season basically restarted after many months and very short also needed an elite player (like Kyrie in 2016 though many consider AD better).

3) Out in Round 1 and like 2010, 2014 and 2018 "injuries"

Maybe he goes to GSW with Curry.
