JFK's coach steps down ?

Not so fast on that Jaws. More are leaving after the school year. Think some will stay and choose not to play. Some parents won’t want their kid to play SR, mogador ect with a skeleton crew. Every sport will be affected.
Thet should still be able to field a team, I think. It will be small though. You are also right about other sports though. Boys track went from having a legitimate shot at a team title this year, to completely decimated in a week.

Pay up to who? You? You are new and inconsequential. Yes, I held out hope that things would turn out ok. I doesn't appear that they will. The issues run too deep in the school at the moment. Many things need to change.
It is okay to be upset, all good things come to an end. It is time for JFK to "pay up" for some of the beatdowns they have delivered over the years.

I believe something similar happened to the basketball program a number of years ago. Parents were not pleased that their child was not playing over kids who transferred into the school. It took a few coaches and a bunch of bad years before things got better.

All I know is ya'll went 7 pages on here instead of the mothership(thread) lol
Embarrassed Shame GIF

Take all the parents who care enough about their kids' education and are willing to pay extra to send their kids to private school. In theory, if they would all stay at the public school, think how much better the public school would be. All those parents holding the school to account. All those volunteers and donors for special programs.

In theory, at least. I always figure that is why some many small rural schools do well. All the kids and parents stay with the public school because there really is no private school option. That and their small nature keep the community together.

If it fell apart that quickly maybe the foundation really wasn't strong. Where's the blue pride, play for the K, etc? So many have been quick to run away from the program. However, JFK will be back sooner rather than later. It's still the only trumbull county program capable of getting to the state finals on a regular basis. It still has all the pieces in place for someone to put back together. Especially with some of top local programs in a down cycle. It also helps playing in a weak region. It's d7 football and couple of good players can turn it around pretty quick. It only takes one playoff run to seperate you from the rest of the county. And more players will follow after that. Someone should take a chance.

All that you said could possibly happen but it all starts from the top. If the support isn't there from the top then none of it will matter.

You morons understand that we do pay the tuition, right? We also pay our local school taxes too. I have already paid for two of my kids and will pay for my third to go to private school and continue to pay taxes the th dump of a school that I took them out of.
Did your kids used to go to Niles if so I don’t blame you lol

Jaws I respect you as a longtime Yappi poster.
I read this entire thread and am disappointed that JFK appears to be on hard times.
We played y’all quite a bit when my kids were at Gilmour.
I wish nothing but the best to JFK and hope it goes well buddy.
I recognize the challenges tho.

Kids at Gilmour? Congratulations on all your success 😂

Thanks. I'm still in shock at how fast it has gone south. We had some good games with Gilmour! I loved the North Coast League.

Hoping Warren JFK as a league member doesn't follow the same path as fellow member Louisville St Thomas Aquinas...who had low numbers and canceled gamed last year. Looking forward to Wildcats playing them in the fall.

Unfortunately too late

As a Joe's fan - wish nothing but the best for JFK, and hope that the issues are overstated (or that JFK bounces back soon)

That was really never happen. That program is in such disarray. I don’t think they should even have a team right now. STA that is.

I find myself wondering, why wouldn't JFK be a candidate to join the NE8? I know that they are a D7 school, but most of the schools are D4 and it wouldn't be that much of a drop off in points since JFK is a solid program. I know what happened in the old MVC, but does that matter anymore with 16 teams making the playoffs?

Too many whiny adults that hold grudges from 20 years ago will never let that happen.

No private schools allowed along with being D7

A D4 team is getting less points from a 9 win D7 rather then a 5 win D4
