Lakota just lost a good young coach when Lento left for Calvert. You're not going to get any established coach that's better than what they had to go to Lakota, so a young coach that's already in the program and they have faith in is about the best hire you can ask for

That was kind of my point. They had no one else knocking on their door so they might as well go for it.

Purcell Marian named Chris Mobley Jr. on Wednesday afternoon as its next head football coach. He succeeds former head coach Jeremy Pflug.

Mobley accepted the Gamble Montessori head coaching position in February and informed the team earlier this week about his decision to accept the Purcell Marian position. Mobley said it was a very difficult decision but he wants to continue to be supportive of the Gamble Montessori student-athletes in the future.

Gamble Montessori athletic director Dave Miller said the school is considering all options for its head football coaching vacancy.

Last big job left, maybe in all of Ohio. OCC school, but more CCS than OCC. They had some great teams under Buddy White, struggled lately. Could they get back to being relevant under the right leadership. This late in the off season though, would someone be willing to leave their current spot to make this jump?

bigger drawback of Reynoldsburg isn’t “more CCS than OCC”, but the fact it’s one program for two campuses that are a PITA distance from another

I don't think the question is WHY isn't the job filled, but HAS it been filled or is it going to be filled? Creates some problems if they can't play ball in '24.
