IUDOGS: 2022 - 2023 Ohio High School Head Football Coaching Changes

Guessing with most schools out today there wont be much movement in the HS football world today. This place is kind of quiet today
 
Interesting hire by Dublin Scioto. Didnt think they would have gone internal. Interesting that Jerome and Coffman got successful HC and Scioto went with no HC experience. How long has he been at Scioto I wonder? In recent years they are barely above .500, would think they want to change and compete a little more. In the last 4 years, they have 2 wins against an opponent with a winning record ... not good. Maybe Coach Place will get things rolling now, just hard to believe. And, if I heard correctly, wasnt the other Coord, Price, up for the job? Pretty sure he is a Scioto grad and only ever coached there, if you are going internal, why not the born and bred Scioto guy?

Westerville North with the Stanley hire, seems like a lot of people expected that. And the article said he already has 2 other Buckeyes on the staff with him, could something be brewing in the north of Westerville. Excited to see the brand of football they develop there. With their limit of 5 years of teacher pay for new hires, this was most likely a no brainer for them.

For North, Jackson said he has assembled a coaching staff with close ties to Ohio State, including former players Wells, Garnett, Mike Doss, Reggie Germany, Andre Griffin, Paris Long, Eric Smith, Dan Stultz and Ashanti Webb. Jackson said his staff also would include Eastmoor graduate Marcus Ray, a former player at Michigan, and Ben Snell Sr., whose son, Benny Snell Jr., was a standout for Westerville Central and is now a running back with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former Ohio State coach John Cooper and former assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Bill Conley would serve as consultants, according to Jackson.

1. Alex Place is replacing Coach Karl Johnson as the new Head Football Coach at Dublin Scioto (Division II).
2. LaCharles Smith is replacing Coach Jerry Bell as the new Head Football Coach at Holland Springfield (Division II).
3. Newton Falls (Division VI) is now looking for a new Head Football Coach to replace Coach Greg Lazarri.
4. Frankfort Adena (Division VI) is now looking for a new Head Football Coach to replace Coach Shane Willman.
5. Copley (Division III) is now looking for a new Head Football Coach to replace Coach Jake Parsons.

Anyone hear anything about the Lakewood job? Coach Thome left for Amherst in December and haven't seen/heard anything since. He seemed to have had some positive momentum going there.
