I'm sorry but hiring a guy that has NEVER run or been apart of a HS program (coaching wise) is not good for business. How many of those former buckeyes will be in the building to build relationships with kids and be able to hold them accountable during the school day? Are they going to be there consistently Monday-Thursday all year around or just Friday night guys? Running a program is a lot more than just coaching football and hiring a parent doesn't seem like the best idea. Good luck to WN though

This has been one of the weirder “vacancy” situations I can recall in recent Central OH memory. It was posted earlier (back in December IIRC), they went through at least some of the post-classifieds processes for the job… but didn’t make a hire. So it’s posted again.

At the same time, the school is going through a messy labor situation with the teachers trying to form a union. I imagine that is having some effect on talent acquisition.

Kent Roosevelt has hired Kardell Jackson. He is a 2014 roosevelt grad and has most recently been an assistant at Stow-Munroe Falls.

I don't know where I saw it, I think it was a press release from the school, John Kitna has been named head coach at Lakota East.

According to a Toledo Blade article Craig Rutherford resigned today from Eastwood. Over his 6 years as Head Coach the Eagles were 58-12 and State Runner Up in 17. Article said Craig was going to be an asst. at Anthony Wayne.
