How many wins will the 2012 Reds get?

Cooling Off
Most would agree the Reds should win the division this year. Anything less would certainly be a disappointment. I think they should be right in the 94-98 area, personally. That's 3-7 wins better than the 2010 team. What do you guys think?

The way the offseason played out could not have been better for the Reds. This is their best chance to make a splash I think probably in 20 years. Hoping at this point to at least win one playoff series.

I'll go with 94 wins. It'll be interesting to see what happens at the deadline if this team drastically under-performs though

Anything under 90 or the failure of winning a divisional title will be considered a disappointment considering how well this offseason has gone. With that said, I'll also have to go with the 90-95 win range.

91 wins, division title. I haven't gone into a season in the last 20 years where I actually expected them to win the division. That kind of makes me nervous but I think they pull it off.

If they do fail to live up to expectations, is that it for Dusty? I kinda think he'll be on a shorter leash after last season. Thoughts?

I can't see them going a a huge firesale. Considering all the talent they had to give up to get this team they should at least get what they can out of who they got.

80 may be enough to win the division.

Agreed, the NL Central is going to be incredibly weak this year. The NL East will be a powerhouse division. The usual suspects Philly and Atlanta and now the emergence of Miami and a better Washington team will make it an interesting year. No way the wildcard comes out of the Central again.

Possibly, but things don't always work out the way they look on paper.

Philly and Atlanta will be very good and the Nationals are improving. I think they really could have used Fielder.

Miami will be a disaster, IMO.

I agree Miami is unpredictable. They have a lot of potential to do well and having 4 solid teams makes for a pretty tough division.

To be perfectly honest I don't think LaRussa would have had half the career he did without Dave Duncan. Not to mention the best player in the game for some 8 years or so. I think he's way overrated.
