It took playoff expansion and big NIL$$. Otherwise they had 2 losses, cryin ryan is looking for a JV High school job and he/they did NOTHING including another loss to "THE" Michigan Wolverines at home as a 20+ point favorite.

BUT...THE National Champs. Doesn't look like he's cryin too much! Hardware is in Columbus to prove it.
Just curious, where were you watching OSU's HISTORIC playoff run? I bet you found a Buckeye backers bar in Florida and wore the Scarlet and Gray!

I watch the suckeyes once a year. Versus "THE" Michigan Wolverines. They aren't worth 1 second of my time for any other game.

The 12 team playoff expansion is what makes it the most legitimate national championship ever in college football. You should probably move on from that nonsensical/illogical argument.

Not even close. It's a lot easier to make a 12 team playoff than a 4 team. And teams like Indiana, Boise St. SMU, etc.. that had NO business making it- made it. And osu doesn't make a 4 team playoff either with 2 losses, not good enough to play for their own conference championship, and losing a game AT HOME as a 20+ point favorite. It was 1000 times easier to make than a 4 team. And It was 1000 times more watered down. Then add in the pathetic seedings. IT WAS THE MOST WATERED DOWN COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF - EVER!!

Its way easier to win 2 games rather than having to win 4. MOST HISTORIC CHAMPIONSHIP RUN EVER!

But they knew before the year started that 2 loss teams would get in. Things may have changed if the system was different.
Bottom line: 12 is TOO many and everyone knows its a money grab only. Without 12, they are out. They were not good enough. And an asterisk for sure. I don't know for fact, but I would be curious if any team that had 2 losses, lost their last game at home as a 20+ point favorite, and wasn't good enough to even make their conference championship game ever won it. I would guess: no. That's because when you take the 4 best, you are getting the 4 best. When they expanded to 12 for the $$$, it became a watered down joke due to the number of teams that were undeserving.

And Michigan still wasn’t good enough to qualify. Take your trash program, turn those sumbitches sideways and stick them up your candyazz

The two best teams in the country were ranked 8 and 7. The 7 team took out the 2nd team. The 8 team took down #1.
Much easier to win a 4 team playoff. Florida State,Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon were 5th thru 8 in last years ranking. Michigan dodged some big bullets.

8 teams is the perfect number and Ohio State and Notre Dame proved that this year. The four teams in the semi?
5-6-7-8. 4 team playoff was a travesty.

Michigan dodged NOTHING. They beat the SEC champions (which was the best conference in the country that year. They beat the team that everyone said Michigan would not be able to stop (Washington): with the Joe Moore award winning OL, 1 of the top QB's in the country in M. Pennix, and 1 of the best WR core in the country, and was 14-0 that took down Oregon twice which many thought was the favorite. Michigan's path was anything but easy. When only 4 get in, you better prove your worth. Good luck trying to get in with 2 losses. the suckeyes had a 0% chance of getting into a 4 team playoff with 2 losses including a HUGE loss to "THE" Michigan Wolverines.

Overall 2023 was one of the weakest years in college football history. Michigan dodged Georgia. Alabama beat themselves. And that wasn't one of the better Alabama teams. Michigan played Ohio State. Michigan didn't have to play OSU on a neutral field. And Michigan has an asterisk on their championship season.

Now that is some delusional thinking. Bama beat Georgia on a neutral field in ATLANTA, GEORGIA. Bama EARNED the playoff spot - ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. Washington was 14-0 and beat Oregon twice, they also EARNED their playoff spot. Michigan beat the number 1 team in the SEC and the 14-0 Washington team that was picked as a team that had what it took to beat the powerful Wolverines. No dice! You are getting an education on what it means to "EARN" a playoff spot - grasshopper.

2023. The big boys were breaking in new QBs. The overall quality of teams was the worst it has ever been. Washington OOC was Boise State, Tulsa and Michigan State. They barely squeaked out going undefeated by winning all their games in the weak Pac. Where is the mighty Pac now? Michigan had the most experienced team in the NCAA. A team that cheated to get to the point where their players came back to play for a natty. If Michigan didn't cheat a majority of their players would have gone pro. Michigan has admitted that they cheated. What more needs to be said? ********

So you earn playoff spots by beating playoff teams? Hmmm...
You earn a playoff spot based on what you did the 12 games you play before they decide who get's in. The suckeyes did NOTHING to earn a spot without expansion. 2 losses. Lost AT HOME as a 20+ point favorite to an unranked team in the LAST game of their season, not week 1, 2, or 3. They weren't even good enough to make their own conference title game. The money grab expansion is why they got in. Not their season's body of work. A true mickey mouse farce for sure.
