how many games will the higher seed get to host in the playoffs

I say two now that 16 teams make the playoffs. A friend claims all playoff games leading to the state semi-finals will be hosted by the higher seed (4 games). Who is correct?

Pretty sure it's the first two rounds are higher seed host.

So did I. When eight team made the playoff, only one was hosted by a competing school. Now with sixteen teams, that number should go up to two.

Last year, your friend was correct. The COVID year and everyone making it did mean higher seeds hosted until, I believe regional finals but close enough.

This year pretty sure it's 2. When they were talking 12 team it was 5-8 hosted week 1, then 1-4 week 2. I assume now 1-8 host week 1 and the 4 best seeded winners week 2, then neutral the rest of the way.
