Hoover softball

Hard not to with those numbers. They play tonight and a doubleheader tomorrow at Firestone so it will be interesting to see how that goes. I think Caly will pitch more and more as the season goes on...

Mudcat,

Notice the ? afterwards... i was just putting a guess out there. I don't know kids/numbers for Perry so that's why I made it clear I wasn't sure.

Both girls are doing great and have great stats.

Hall is 5-1 and has allowed 12 runs on 30 hits in 40 innings.

Russo is 3-0 and has allowed 0 runs on 4 hits in 23 innings.

Keep up the good work Hoover Vikings!:)

I was notified about this site about a week ago and thus have been watching this particular thread. This is getting to the point of bizarre now. Please stop comparing the pitchers, let them worry about the competition as it appears people are "trying" to make them worry about each other. Hope for the best for both of them and let it be and play ball.

Both pitchers are doing great and we Hoover fans are very proud of them. Their stats are excellent and probably only matched by Perry in the Federal League.

Hall and Russo are a great 1-2 combination for the Vikings. We are lucky to have them both!:)

Iceblack - No one has said anything derogatory about anyone in this thread and this thread is all about how great Hoover is despite being young and how they have two excellent pitchers. Stats are everywhere though - the repository posts box scores of every game including who pitches and how many innings. Hoovers own website posts stats of every game and lists the pitchers records after each game. Are you saying that the paper shouldn't publish game stats? That seems a bit silly. Now if someone was coming on here bad mouthing a high school girl or saying the coach should be doing this or that, that would be a different story. Simply looking at and comparing stats though is common across all sports. I find it hard to believe that these girls would "worry" about each other because of a high school sports web site.

Alrighty then-can't stop the press. I guess you are somewhat correct there is one that believes in "team", says nothing derogatory and doesn't worry..... Thank you for clarifying.

Another great weekend for the Lady Vikes - went 3-0 in weekend tournament in Lagrange. Beat Hilliard yesterday 4-0 and then won 6-1 and 5-0 today against somebody and then North Royalton. Good tournament with a lot of strong teams including Hoover, Hudson, Elyria, and many others.

Against "somebody"????

mje037 for beat reporter of the year. :)

ha. I can't remember who it was. I remember 2 out of the 3 teams they played. (I just looked it up - it was Wellington)

I have to say the quality of their team was impressive. The catcher was fun to watch with dead on cannon throws from her knees! Our girls held with them for a bit and other than a 2 run homer, the others were scored on forced errors... Our girls have nothing to hang heads on as there are no Seniors at our first year school....

Good luck rest of the way Vikes...

Wellington has 9 losses and North Royalton 10 I think. Who else besides Hoover, Hudson and Elyria were the strong teams?
