Hoban '23

This thread has fallen off rails!
They all do when the infantry whiners take over. Yet they need a snowflake thread because everyone picks on them. Give me a break at he end of the day they aren't on here to discuss football just to stir the pot and aren't happy on here unless they are arguing and posting the same stupid shizzz, over and over.

This is from the 3rd post in the thread (before you know who took it off the rails):

Hoban has 12 players coming back that have D1 FBS offers. 8 have P5 offers.

The senior class has 4 players ranked in the top 100 in Ohio according to 247sports. They are #9 William Satterwhite OG, #22 Rickey Williams LB, #76 Tysen Campbell S, and # 90 Devin Bell EDGE. Satterwhite is by far the most highly recruited with 32 offers including Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Florida, and Penn State. Campbell holds offers from Michigan and Kentucky. R Williams has offers from WV and Indiana. Bell is committed to Miami OH. 3 other seniors hold D1 offers: Jordan Pritchard-Sewell DL (11 offers), Caleb Jones RB (3 offers), and Xavier Williams CB/ATH (Ohio U offer)

Rising junior Eli Lee LB is #32 in the Class of '25 on the same website. He holds offers from West Virginia, Iowa State, and Toledo.

Hoban also has 4 rising sophomores with Power 5 offers, including Sam Greer OT (Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Miami FL) and Ace Cook WR (Michigan, Miami FL, Pitt, Kentucky). The others are Elbert Hill DB (8 offers-Ohio State, Michigan, Miami FL, and Pitt) and Ace Brown WR/TE (Kentucky).
S Greer also has 2 D1 Basketball offers (Akron and Kent State),

Some returning starters without D1 FBS offers include Nate Cross OL, Tylan Boykin CB, Jalen Hightower WR, and Tanner Mintz LB.
Is his real name ace cook? Or is it Payton cook?
And Ace Brown is another kid?

Updated to include 2026 Elbert Hill's offer from Notre Dame.

Tell us about your thrilling football career. Before you start belittling someone, it's best to have something to talk about. Take your classless butt back to the snowflake thread.
Exactly. Lol, if "only" getting a football scholarship to an SEC school is the cutoff between success and failure. Well, 99.9 percent of HS football players are failures.

All I’m going to say is Hoban had the best Qb since hamm’s departure but that offensive coordinator failed to maximize his talents and maximize the rest of the wide receivers and tight ends on that offense. Yes their run game was great, runningback was great, one of the best in the state. But you can’t be a one dimensional offense and that’s why Hoban has failed to win a state title the last 2 years.

"Best QB since Hamm's departure". There have been 2. Yes, Long was the better qb than Crable. But if you think he was a good QB, then you weren't watching the games. He's completion percentage was low, and he didn't seem interested in or capable of running the ball. I totally agree that the WR were not well utilized the last few years (well, perhaps every year really). Lots of talent but little to show for it. Perhaps some coordinator fault, but qb not able to consistently hit the receivers. I do agree that hoban should have utilized the tight end position, so that I believe is a legit criticism of the coaches. I think tyrel has decided to commit to the run (old woody hays comment about 2 bad things can happen when passing) and has neglected the passing game.

How do people think that Hoban will do this year? What is their floor and what is their ceiling, based on their schedule, playing five out of state teams? The first three games will set the tone for the season IMO.

7-3 worst 8-2 Best Trinity and Fredrick Douglas are excellent, I know St. Eds will be a tough week 10 matchup.

Bell is committed to Miami OH. 3 other seniors hold D1 offers: Jordan Pritchard-Sewell DL (14 offers including Temple and the 3 service academies), Caleb Jones RB (3 offers including Kent State and Toledo), and Xavier Williams CB/ATH (Ohio U offer). Another senior Von Lindsey OL has an offer to FCS Wofford College.

Updated to include Rickey Williams LB commitment to West Virginia and Elbert Hill CB with 2 more offers including Penn State. 247sports doesn't have their 2026 rankings but I bet Hill will be ranked in the top 10 in the state for 2026 when they do come out.
