General NFL Chat

Richardson was a sub-.500 college QB and started only 13 games, completing 54% of his passes. That's the risk you run when you pick solely based upon potential and workout performances.

It's refreshing to see teams make decisions based upon who gives them a better chance to win (e.g. Colts Flacco over Richardson; Panthers Dalton over Young) as opposed to basing on where you picked or how much you're paying a player, like the Browns.

It's the Josh Allen effect. You saw the same wishful thinking when the 49's drafted Trey Lance. At some point NFL personnel "experts" are going to have to conclude that Allen was a unicorn - a one off elite QB talent that broke all the rules (zero star HS recruit; poor completion percentage; lower level college program; awsome athletic traits & a cannon of an arm). We may not see his like again for decades.

Allen is physically unique but there has been others in the NFL who physically were similar;
John Elway, Ben Roethlisberger & Cam Newton come to mind.

Hopefully Allen breaks through & gets to/wins a Super Bowl in the near future.

Cardinals fans are starting to think Marvin Harrison Jr is a bust
This is an incredibly ignorant post. Being in Tucson, I am forced fed Cardinals games every Sunday. Against the Dolphins Harrison won the game with four brilliant catches in the second half. If only the Browns had a receiver half as good as him.

You obviously don’t have the pulse you think you do. I suggest you read their message board sometime

Every message board has a few loud guys like you who think everyone is terrible. It is no different than 5% of Buckeye fans that think Day should be fired yesterday, or 5% of Steeler fans who want Tomlin fired for lack of recent playoff success.

I'm sure that most reasonable Cardinal fans know that they have a great WR in Harrison.

Tone deaf move by Richardson after last week's game telling the coach he needed a break because he was tired. You may think that, but you never tell anyone. That's career suicide. I questioned the drafting of Richardson from the start. Minshew was the Colts best QB last season and Flacco is this year. At some point you have to produce, it's so goofy that in just about all other positions, the best player plays, but not QB necessarily. So many of these young QB's are in way over their heads.

I still can't believe that TD was called good last night by the Jets. To me, there was nothing in there conclusive enough to overturn that. If anything, the knee clearly came in out of bounds.

Maybe the sweetie who wrote that is as ignorant about football as you are. And I didn’t think that was possible. Brian is Mensa compared to you.

As a Bills fan sometimes I take for granted just how good Allen is. This was Allen's 3rd TD throw that put the Bills up 27 - 20 with less then 6 minutes left in today's game.

Allen is one of the few guys in today’s game that can simply carry a team. He’s the closest thing I have seen to a young John Elway. Hopefully Allen can take the Bills to a Super Bowl someday

Dennis Allen finally gets canned. It would’ve been stunning had he not gotten fired after losing to Carolina.

Yep. Wasn't that long ago that the Saints were 2-0 and everyone was in awe after they scored 90 points the first 2 weeks.
well it wasn't like they didn't lose a lot of their skills players for multiple games, including Carr after game 3 right? Shaheed been out. Tayson Hill been out multiple games. not saying the firing wasn't deserved but Saints got wiped by injuries pretty hard.

Dak Prescott expected to miss several weeks with a hamstring. This season for the Boys has been a dumpster fire.

Pretty much a playoff game tonight for the Bengals. They already have a loss to the Ravens, so they really can't lose tonight and hope to have any shot at the playoffs. With that said, are the Bengals one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL? They had a super bowl appearance followed by a loss in the AFC championship game, missed the playoffs last year with Joe Burrow having multiple injuries. So the window is closing. This really looked like it could be the season and it's not gone well.

It’s not a must win, but it would be nice.

The teams in the running for the 7th seed all are mediocre at best — Colts, Broncos, Jets — so even a 4-6 Bengals team would still be in the mix.

They need to win tonight, but it’s not a must win.

Bengals need to go 7-2 over the final 9.
