I thought I saw Jovan at the Solon- Kilbourne game in Worthington Friday night. He did not look nicked up. Might be red-shirt?

According to Dick Humphrey whom I just finished talking to, his Son Chris did play on the kickoff receiving team. Dick and his wife were there, in all that rain, lightning and delays. And the natives are restless already with these parents of freshman who are dressing and Not playing when the seniors and juniors just are not getting it done out there. Alabama is one thing, but Louisiana La-Fayette? I thought this coach was going to play many of the recruits he brought in?

Anyway, Dick related how the game at Tuscaloosa was an unbelievable, fabulous experience. Amazing place to see a game, but after that monstrous tornado last spring. Maybe more meaningful. This week, the Golden Flashes go to Kansas State.

Virginia still has not beaten Tech in all the years they have been together in the ACC. The Cavaliers usually have a running game central to their offense but today, the "bad boys" from Blacksburg came to Charlottesville and held them to 30 net yards rushing.

Steve Greer again was top tackler for Virginia with 9 tackles (4-solo, 5-assist). With 5 min. remaining in the 1st half, he was chasing a ball-carrier toward the far sideline and got blindsided by a big tight end. Every bell in Steve's body must have rang. He was treated on the field and returned to play in the 3rd qtr but his team's offense just could not even kick a field goal correctly.

Tough to lose to an in-state rival to end every season. Nice try Steve.:thumb:
