Deepest Weight (Top 30)
D1: 215
D2: 175
D3: 132

Tied for Second Deepest Weight (Top 25)
D1: 120, 138, 144, 285
D2: 120, 126, 138, 144
D3: 120, 165, 175, 190

Just to clarify, deepest weight and second deepest weight are not about the strength at the top of the weight, but the strength from #21 thru #25 or #21 thru #30. Like most years, some weights look MUCH stronger than others but changes after the initial release tend to usually help even them out a little.

106 is always the toughest weight to rank because of the unknown returnees and the growth of incoming freshman (some kids may be very undersized). If I missed any wrestlers that are set to return to 106 PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

If you have any weight changes/questions/suggestions/etc. please Email me at Borofanohio@gmail.com or PM me on here. I have been moving wrestlers around like crazy the past few weeks after receiving projected lineups from coaches/parents, so please let me know if I have multiple wrestlers ranked at the same weight or if I missed a previous head-to-head result (WHICH IS VERY POSSIBLE)

I am expecting many changes early on, so I will make changes every day around 11 AM and 11 PM thru Friday (August 9th) and then move to just PM updates thru the end of August. I will post all of the weights that had changes on here like usual.

Changes since initial release:
D1: 113

It’s going to be an interesting duel between Massillon Perry and Brecksville (at Brecksville). I could see it going either way.

I believe Perry wins 10-4 in matches. Some of the guys are overrated in boros rankings from Brecksville. I see five state placers from Brecksville maximum.

Bees return six placers, so I'm thinking they place more than five. Panthers return five placers from last year, plus an additional three that placed the previous year. I don't know what an MP/Brecksville match count is going to be, I would bet MP to win though (10-4 would be an improvement for Brecksville from the dual last year, all that being said).

I could see 8-6 Mp but there are a few toss ups in there (106, 126, 132, 157/165 definite toss ups, and 285)

Boro you’re great but there are some real head scratchers to start your predictions out. D2 132 you have Smith over Hisey smith is really good but isn’t Hisey the returning state champ. The the biggest head scratcher is D2 120 your have the Dickerson kid above 2 state placers in Truckovich and Bean did Dickerson do something in the off season that some of us don’t know about?

Smith beat Hisey for 3rd/4th at State in 2023.

Bean was ranked much lower at 120 (#25ish) last year before he decided to cut down to 113 at the end, so I ranked him behind the top 120 returnees.

For reference: Dickerson teched Snair from Carrollton at State Duals.... Snair finished 2nd at 113.

Interesting! Thank you.
That’s where he lives and his brother attends there. Lasalle I don’t think would have been a champion in D2, they lost a lot, probably top 5 with Huhn and Woodbridge but that is all they have back that qualified for state last year. Woodbridge not beating Shulaw at 190 either.
