Final maxpreps rankings DLS #1

After a little in-season, behind-the-scenes tweaking calpreps would never admit to, MNW was moved up to......#24. After spending much of the late season much lower than even that. I think that, by itself, should render these ratngs competely meaningless. The only reason these ratings even get mention here is because a DLS fan wanted to call attention to where his team is rated. I had hoped consumerman would have taken the high road and disregarded these embarrasingly meaningless calpreps ratings.

my simple reply is that if St X fans can point out all day the calpreps rankings of their opponents, that must mean they take great faith in the calpreps model

and that model shows dls #1

sorry it bothers you so much that the champion from the largest division in the largest state is rated #1
 
DLS is from Concord, Alaska? Nothing else makes sense.

How can DLS be the big school champ from California and only play one other team from the state worth talking about? You're kidding, right?

DLS can be the "largest division champ" from the largest state and only play multiple-loss teams? And only play two teams that managed to put up double-digits in victories?

DLS can be "ranked" #1 by a system that says the #2 team would beat them by a full TD? Huh?

Does this make sense to anyone other than consumerfused?

i will agree with you on everything but that pahokee is not a top 5 team. I have seen them play even when they are not clicking my roll people by 40 points. They could imo hang with and possible beat MNW. Better get some tapes on these boys. And many sports writers and football people think that both BTW and pahokee could hang with and possible beat mnw.

Now i dont think prattville is anywhere neat a top 5 team. i say they are about between 11-20 range.

I have seen pahokee twice this season. I have the glades central game and I watched the state championship game. I stand by what I said. They are not a top 5 team in the nation.

FYI, maxpreps rankings are the same as calpreps. Could you please call those guys and ask why DLS is "ranked" #1, but the system predicts them losing to X by a touchdown?
