Final maxpreps rankings DLS #1

 
we will see what moving to the EBAL does to DLS SOS next year, it certainly will only help and despite playing in the BVAL they still "maxed out" with the #1 ranking this year

FYI, maxpreps rankings are the same as calpreps. Could you please call those guys and ask why DLS is "ranked" #1, but the system predicts them losing to X by a touchdown?

if dls win by 6 over centennial a top 10 team taking a knee inside the 5 is "barely escaping" with a win

what is a 3 point win over a team not ranked in the top 25 when the opponent had the ball inside the 20 ready to score the go ahead TD as time ran out?

and what is a 3 point 3 overtime win over a 3 loss unranked team??
 
I think these rankings are supposed to get more accurate the season goes on concha. You would be foolish to discount them at this point. Wait a little longer for them to have mroe data.

At least that's what we heard a little while back.

not a blowhard wannabe who sees things thru filtered glasses and counts 3 point 3 overtime wins over an unranked team as proof a team is great
 
Fact: DLS played one top 200 team in calpreps and it was a scary affair.

Fact: X played 4 top 100 teams and only one DLS opponent would fall in the top 2/3 of X's schedule.

Fact: calpreps predicts DLS losing to X by a TD.

Fact: Every team DLS played had more than one loss.

Fact: Only two DLS opponents managed to get 10 wins during the season.

When the win is on the road 5 hours from home with a brand new QB and versus a team that would have been the 2nd toughest team DLS would have faced, I'd call it respectable.

that says everything we need to know about concha

PS LA is farther from Concord than Cleveland is from Cincinnati

PS Centennial is national top ranked team

PS St Iggy isn't

PS DLS won by 6

PS St X won by 3

PS DLS took a knee inside the 5 as time expired

PS St X had to struggle in 3 overtimes

PS and we arent even mentioning a 10-7 "win" that the other team came VERY CLOSE to winning


so much for who had the "barely escaped with TWO wins" and who took a knee

You can't really blame Concha.

If I lived in Cincy, I would never drive to Cleveland, either, so I wouldn't know how far it is.

Is consumergenius capable of acknowledging that X played Ignatius the week after their starting quarterback blew out his knee? Fascinating how the consumerfilter discards that tiny little fact. Every time.

Congrats to DLS on their MaxPreps #1 ranking. Very well deserved. Got to see them on DirecTV a few times this season, and I really enjoyed watching them.

I'm a fan of Ohio HS football and would've loved to see St. X on top, but that's the way the ball bounces. Let it go. 2008 is another season and another opportunity.

When a system has its own national #1 losing to the national #2 by a touchdown, well, need I say more?

X has its national title this year. :)

Excuse? None needed. X beat a 13-0 team. Close games happen when you play schedules like X's.

Now, if you were talking about a team that plays say, just one decent opponent all year and has a close call, well then maybe your question would make sense.
 
Oh, have you gotten a response from the guys at calpreps about DLS being #1 despite being 7-point underdogs to X?

I believe the Iggy QB was also starting his first game in that game.

DLS took a knee on the 5 yard line with a 6 point lead

St X took a knee after the game saying prayers that the other team did not have 20 seconds more or st x loses

I'd have to agree. DLS isn't a top 5 team in the nation IMO. I also don't think Katy is that good. I think Trinity is better than Katy. Pahokee isn't a top 5 either.

i will agree with you on everything but that pahokee is not a top 5 team. I have seen them play even when they are not clicking my roll people by 40 points. They could imo hang with and possible beat MNW. Better get some tapes on these boys. And many sports writers and football people think that both BTW and pahokee could hang with and possible beat mnw.

Now i dont think prattville is anywhere neat a top 5 team. i say they are about between 11-20 range.
