Friendly thread to discuss and post about EBC wrestling. Thoughts and predictions for league titles and where everyone will be at for tournaments during and after the regular season.
 
 
League Duals Standings Predictions

1. Carrollton
2. Salem
3. Marlington
4. Minerva
5. Alliance
6. West Branch
 
Carrollton holds steady every year!This year solid again,deep up to the middle at least.I just want em to bring home some bacon!🐷🐖

Carrollton should have no true threat once again. Carrollton and Marlington both had Tom Miller Duals at Lake on their schedule, but I couldn't find results anywhere. I would imagine that Marlington would serve as their biggest threat in the conference due to the matchups at 106/113/120. Marlington and West Branch are also scheduled to meet this weekend at the Marlington Duals.
 
Carrollton should win the league in both duals and tournament. Salem likely has the talent to be second in both but with their soft schedule it's always hard to get a read on them. I thought Marlington really overachieved last season and I have a hard time separating them and Minerva. Alliance is probably next and then West Branch. Not the best year of the EBC in recent seasons but still a very deep conference even with the fall off of West Branch and Alliance. I'd bet each team sends at least one to Columbus

Salem 9-0
Marlington 8-1
West Geauga 7-2

Wow 1 week and 2 days into the season and already, we have an adult or maybe a child acting a fool. I am also getting homophobic vibes from another one of your posts. I mean you labeled someone as gay you don’t even know. So take your libel elsewhere. Just because this site isn’t attached to any specific entity doesn’t mean people couldn’t come after you for your libel. I mean did you know he has been with his wife for 20 years and has 3 amazing kids. Which one was a 3x sectional and 2x district qualifier just to gently correct you. I mean I get that you give a crap, but honestly why?! Is the coach, the kids, or his family coming after other EBC school coaches or kids that are involved with EBC wrestling, NO! You do realize hiding behind an account that was created today is purposeful just to start on here! Despite what you or anyone else thinks on here, his children and wife are impacted by people such as you! So how about we try to not give a crap about other people, and just enjoy the season for all the EBC teams!

Team scores are kept by individual teams. We don't compile all of the team scores. Your best bet would be to check with each individual team, or perhaps see which teams use Trackwrestling.com.

Yes didnt wrestle marlington at lake. Carrollton B team also took first at united this weekend . 5 seniors went to the solon comet classic this past weekend. 4 of the 5 placed

I'm a massive fan of the way the Warriors have managed their schedule over the years. It always feels like our kids are getting the most mat time out of anyone around us by a pretty significant margin
 
This Thursday, January 4th

Marlington at Carrollton
Salem at Alliance
West Branch at Minerva

Marlington and Carrollton can have some good matchups if Marlington has their best lineup available. Salem and Minerva should have no sweats.

Carrollton is definitely favored in this match which, if Marlington has all their guys available and in the right weight classes, might be Carrollton's biggest challenge in league this year.

Carrollton is very solid 106-138 but gets a little thin after that, Marlington matches up well at 106, 113, and 126 in the heart of the lineup for the Warriors. If the Dukes can keep those three matches close or even steal one of the three it has the potential to be a very close dual. Likely comes down to which team can minimize damage in their overmatched matchups
 
The top 4 of the EBC, Carrollton, Salem, Minerva, and Marlington are going to be neck and neck for the dual title this year. I'm going to predict that none of them go undefeated in league this year and we have multiple teams tied for the top spot at season's end
