So 7-6 Carrollton in head to head matches, I'm a little surprised with how Salem managed their lineup for this one with a chance to win the league on the line but their kids wrestled hard and racked up a lot of bonus points where they could. Looks like the warriors will reign supreme again this year

I guess they thought their 113 had a better shot to beat Carrolltons 120. Not surprised they moved some kids around to try and find a way to win

I'm more surprised at a few guys not being used, dont think there's any amount of movement they could have done though to win the dual though just maybe have made it closer

the EOWL doesnt wish to upgrade?
I highly doubt that is the case. Maybe with Jefferson and Conneaut moving, we see this happen. I'd love to see either Carrollton/Minerva or both.

I know if I had a choice at Jefferson, I'd stay in the eowl. But the decision isn't mine.

I think the EOWL functions a lot as a way for some of the far eastern Ohio schools to get dual matches during the season where they'd likely be unable to fill out a schedule every year without those preexisting relationships. I'm not sure Minerva and Carrollton really need that help filling out a schedule, obviously they'd love to be in the league tournament at the end of the season though and I think a bunch of the top tier teams would love the additional competition they would add just maybe not logistically an easy fit

West Branch at Carrollton - Off quick rundown I can see WB winning 32,44,57,65,75,215. Carrollton wins 45-25 range. WB could probably bump Brink and steal a win at 190 with Carrollton having a weak 175. Not sure what their depth looks like there.

Alliance at Minerva - Off quick rundown I can see Alliance winning 6,57,65,75,90,285 (if they get Eddy v Dietrich, and the likelihood that Haines is at 215). This dual should also be in the 45-25 range, but Alliance has had different lineups all year. Alliance could also steal a win at 44/50 with Carver, and it is a very outside shot in my opinion but stealing a win at 215 against Haines could make it a very tight dual. I like Haines if we see that match, though.

Salem at Marlington - You would think this is an easy win for Salem - but it's a BAD matchup. Salem beat Minerva because of their 126-150. Marlington has 9 solid weights, and 5 bad weights. Their bad weights... 126-150. This stops Salem from canceling out Marlington's good wrestlers. I can see Marlington winning 6,13,20,57,65,75,90,215. However, Salem will pin at 26,32,38,44,50 and probably 285. Match will come down to Marlington's bonus points.
