Congrats on the state title Perkins won!!!Hey Tarblooder,
Give it a rest. Of the last 100 posts on this thread, 29 are you. We're sorry you're butthurt because you lost to Perkins. But, at this point, this is pretty much a non-issue.
#1 Was knocking off the 2 time defending state champs a big deal....absolutely....celebrate.
#2 Is winning a game and making it to the championship game a big deal....absolutely.
#3 Do you have any idea of the history between these teams and coaches? No you don't. I know both of them.
#4 Is Glenville playing 2 divisions lower than they should be.....Absolutely. Most of the of the Cleveland publics are d 1 or 2. BUT, mysteriously, you are D 4. Gotta love the way your school can manipulate the numbers. How big is your band??
Just become a typical Browns fan and sit back and think....There's always next year.
Knocking off the two-time defending state champions to reach Week 16 is absolutely a huge deal and should have been celebrated. That's never been the issue. Perkins was an awesome team and very deserving of the accolades they received as a team and as individuals. Incredibly fun team to watch once the ball was snapped!Hey Tarblooder,

As an example, you actually stated a reasonable explanation.....and I agree. Tarblooder has just been a troll with truly nothing to say as demonstrated by his latest post. It seems his goal is just to keep this thread alive. I have been a supporter of Jalen since he left Bellevue. After watching the coaching staff's reaction to the Vermilion kid getting ejected and the coaches(plural) behavior after the Glenville game, I found it tough to root for them. Fortunately, I didn't hear about the bus incident until after the state title game. I believe the loss to IV resulted from the coaching and preparation for the game. As well as a lack of defensive adjustment during the game. At one time, their was a pretty popular saying, "Respect all, fear none." Definitely something not important within "his" program. BUT, I do believe that Perkins gave them a better game than Glenville would have.Knocking off the two-time defending state champions to reach Week 16 is absolutely a huge deal and should have been celebrated. Taking a detour to drive down a residential street where the game wasn't even played with the players filming themselves and proudly posting to social media showing them dropping f-bombs at someone's home while the head coach and principal nodded with approval and delight has been the issue. Clearly even people within the Perkins community felt the same, considering multiple school district employees spoke out against it at a recent BOE meeting and their own superintendent and athletic director reviewed the incident and punishment seemingly is coming.
Guessing most will "give it a rest" when that is revealed.
We could go on and list a few more things not covered above regarding how they viewed Indian Valley, or their sportsmanship and behavior, but the bus route home was the topper on the tree. It's not difficult to see why Tarblooder, myself, or the majority of the people who have commented here after the game (including proud Perkins alum Bird-Man) didn't view it as a "non-issue."

Well said. The post game antics are the issue, of course the loss was upsetting for as a parent. But I was just as upset by the behavior towards the Bellevue folks.Knocking off the two-time defending state champions to reach Week 16 is absolutely a huge deal and should have been celebrated. If your expecting more than this, you're not from around here. This is one of those rare instances where the subject (Perkins) gets everything that’s coming to them, no breaks/slack/oops. They gotta swallow the pill and be ready next year.
Right and that makes yall losers lmao. No matter the scores and success. The adults not the kids either. No way did you pop on here and tell someone to let it go just to kind of half defend it. Why is is so hard for yall (sans Bird Man) to admit how childish the whole staff is. "Butt butt Bellevue was mean first" my 12 year old niece is past that stageIf your expecting more than this, you're not from around here.

Really weird that you believe I am.If you are not a fan, why are you so emotionally invested?

I am from there. I was a Perkins local schools kid k-12. In all my high school years I never saw behavior like that get swept under the rug. A whole lot has changed in almost 20 years. I am glad to see punishment was handed down, but the damage is already done.If your expecting more than this, you're not from around here.

what division will they be in track? One thing for sure, Glenville will be called cheaters again in 2025. You guys will be saying again, that they should be in D1. I don’t know where Perkins will be…..But Glenville will be back. And the Track Team this season will be State Champs in a blow out. Count Down and Loading……………..
Division 2.what division will they be in track?
No. Kinsey is still running, and Perkins still can't stop himIs this game over yet?
Great leaders they have at Perkins…Not sure where suspended for 3 games came from. But, this is what the reporter posted today. I'm sure it will happen outside of football season though.
The Perkins school board will vote on a couple football coaching-related suspensions Wednesday night, per the board's meeting agenda.
A recommendation calls for Pirates head coach Jalen Santoro to be suspended 5 days without pay. Santoro is the district's Youth Athletics and Activities Liaison.
The recommendation also calls for principal Jeff Harbal to be suspended 5 days without pay. Harbal is co-defensive coordinator for the Pirates.
The suspensions would be served at the direction of superintendent Lonny Rivera.
These measures are in response to a Perkins football bus stopping at the home of recently retired Bellevue football coach Ed Nasonti and yelling expletives following the Pirates' state semifinal win against Glenville in Clyde on Nov. 29. There has been plenty of bad blood flowing between the two SBC schools since Santoro left the Bellevue staff for Perkins in 2020. It boiled over that state semifinal win. (Bellevue hosted Glenville for a walkthrough before the game.)
These suspensions are quite different than what has been circulating on the rumor mill for several weeks. Should be an interesting (and packed) board meeting.
