I know the teams in these districts pretty well. I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts.

NE 1
Note: Aurora, Howland, and Mogadore Field have byes into sectional final. Districts will be played in Jefferson

Upper half

Salem 17
Harvey 19

West Branch 7
Niles 25

West Geauga 12
Ashtabula Edgewood 13

Lower half
Ursuline 10
Girard 21

Jefferson Area 14
Struthers 22

Salem should easily beat Harvey. Despite being only 2 seeds apart, there is a big difference between the two teams. Winner faces 1 Aurora in sectional final.

West Branch over Niles in mismatch. Winner faces Edgewood or West G

Edgewood actually beat West Geauga in Chesterland last week. I don’t see why they won’t again. Winner versus WB or Niles

Lower half

Girard is criminally underseeded in this bracket. They are being punished for playing South Range, Poland, and Lakeview twice in their conference and losing. That would happen to most teams in this district. They actually beat Ursuline already. I don’t know if they will again. But, it isn’t out of the question Winner faces Howland in sectional final.

Jefferson Area is weaker pitching wise than last year but they should handle Struthers. Winner faces Mogadore Field in sectional final

Those are just some quick thoughts on the NE 1 sectional semis.

I think Aurora will win this district with a strong showing. Field is a tough team but I don't believe they have enough to beat Aurora. What makes it even harder is that the pitcher for Field plays Summer ball with most of the Aurora starters, so they are already very familiar with her pitching.

I can see someone knocking off Field if they have a good day but I don't see anyone knocking off Aurora.

It is looking that way. This region does look like a collision course between Aurora and Field. West Branch could be a spoiler. Edgewood has a good pitcher and decent lineup. They could make trouble if everything breaks right.

NE2

Note: Canfield, Kenston, Marlington, and Perry have byes into the sectional finals. Districts will be in Hubbard

Upper Half
Geneva 15
Chaney 20

Hubbard 11
East 24

Lower Half
Conneaut 16
Crestwood 18

Ravenna 23
Gilmour Academy 8

Geneva is far from a powerhouse but Chaney is having a rough season. Go Geneva there. Winner faces #2 Canfield

East is terrible. Hubbard should handle them easily. Winner faces #9 Kenston.

I think Conneaut is overseeded here. Pitching is one of the worst in district. Like Crestwood. Winner faces #3 Marlington.

Gilmour over Ravenna in a mismatch. Winner faces #6 Perry.

This district will likely be Marlington vs Canfield. Perry is a touch overrated IMO. Don’t be surprised if Gilmour beats them this time even though Perry beat them in the regular season.

I think this comes down to Canfield and Marlington. Haven't followed Marlington much but know that Canfield is a legit contender for the state championship.

These two districts went pretty much as expected. Aurora and Canfield are through.
