Region 27's most hated guest caller
Calling all my SEO peeps and Danville friends.

Christmas came early for us Region 27 lovers as we turn to a new chapter of R27 ball.

Let the shenanigans begin.

Way too early top 4:
1: Danville- the workhorse freshman comes back as do a few other key pieces for the Blue Devils. This is Danville's region to lose.

2: Trimble- As if you can't tell I'm biased already

. We return some key pieces who saw a lot of playing time. Hopefully the tide turns and the Tomcats are back to what they were just a few short years ago.

3: Eastern- Ah, here we go again. The Eagles return a good bit from this year's runner up team. Do they build off the success or come off the 2 year high like the 2023-2024 Bengals?

4: Newark Catholic- The Green Wave are coming off a 1-9 season, but 10 games under a young squad will help them this year. The Green Wave will make the playoffs, as a lower seed, and will cause some noise.

1. Danville
t2. Trimble
t2. NC
4. Eastern (they might not be D7 or R27.)

Some of this region’s shakeout in November will depend on where NC finishes, imo

Oh, as promised my teams at the bottom of R27

I remember when Harvest Prep was in R27. I also remember when Shadyside was relevant.

I believe Lucas plays Danville in week 2 or 3. We may be in trouble in that game. Could be a rough year in 2025.
Any chance we get bumped back to R27?

Also, where do I find the 2025 high school football schedules? It used to be on Arbiter...

If 2023 is any indication the regions will stay very much the same with it being a competitive balance year only. I could see Loudonville going back to D6 and maybe Caldwell, Waterford and Eastern Meigs falling back down to R27. Depending on their comp numbers.

As for Danville, they do lose some "dudes". 5 All Ohio players with a couple of those guys that might play at the next level. But it's reload not rebuild.
They do return 5 or so starters on each side of the ball. On D they return 6 of the top 10 tacklers and on O return 4 of 6 top receivers in terms of receptions. Will have a Rb back that gained 1000 on just 84 carries and set the school record for yards per attempt.

Eastern already has the 4 peat shirts printed designed. That schedule and they'll add 30-0 regular season record as well. Not bashing them but with Manley, Montgomery, Webb, Peters and the entire OL back, they will be the favorites in the region. Remember, their coach interrupted the trophy presentation to boldly exclaim they will be back next year.

Our annual reminder that the MSL could’ve kicked the rotating grid schedule for football, assigned GCC the Worthington Christian void for wk 10 and in the process made week 10 the protected “rivalry week” with assigned opponents.

But they didn’t because “not every school has a rival 🙁 and it wouldn’t be fair to say some matchups are more worth playing in week 10 than others.” So now one of the charter programs is sitting empty on week 10 with no realistic opponent.

Yay, “eQuaLitY.”

I believe Caldwell is D6 via EMIS. Or am I thinking MC? Beaver may move up to D6 depending on how the Waverly additions factor into CB.

Have three non-league opponents amount to 0-30 combined. 🥳 For all we know those latter two might play each other. Same with Lisbon & Leetonia.

Not holding my breath that there will be a game inked with them!
The Senate League is by far the weirdest conference in Ohio
