Pretty early and lots of teams moving around. Kirtland is #1 right? What happened to the schedule thread? Pretty sure Mogadore and Dalton play early. Other than these 2 teams can NM Springfield challenge for runnerup? Here are my very early preseason guesses. Adjusted 6-29.

Kirtland & Dalton square off in Week 1 for the second year in a row, which will be another great game and have the potential for a playoff rematch. As far as a sleeper team, I will be keeping my eye on how Tuslaw fares in its first season under Broc Dial who resigned from Dalton & took over at Tuslaw. Imagine that as a potential first-round playoff matchup…look forward to the season starting here in two months!

Massillon was at the annual Pittsburgh 7 on 7 today. Many expected the Tigers to be the best team from Ohio - but that was not the case. Little old D6 Kirtland ended up making it to final game - without their starting QB none the less. The Hornet QB is nursing a slight shoulder injury. The Kirtland Hornets also swept the offensive lineman competition. Kirtland won the weight lifting, weighted sled and tire flip. Matt Kahley won the overall by lifting 185lbs 36 times. The Hornets did not have the girth to win the tug of war and finished second.

Kirtland is going to be tough again this year in D6.

For Region 21: Kirtland is the top dog and will be until otherwise.

#2 will be Dalton. They made a run to the Division VII championship game, and have the talent to make a deep run. Gauntlet of a schedule that includes Kirtland and Mogadore, and a huge Week 8 rivalry game against Norwayne.

#3 is Mogadore. Even though the PTC has one less team with the departure of Southeast, the Wildcats still have a tough schedule including Dalton, an improved Field team, Newark Catholic, and potential Division V contender Canton Central Catholic among others.

#4 is Columbia. One of the best small school programs out west. Rounding out the Top 5 is New Middletown Springfield.

Top 3 are correct to me. Will be interested to see the new Dalton coach (throws it more supposedly) with the non conference schedule probably as tough as any in D6, with Kirtland, D4 Marengo Highland, and then Moggy. I would say they will lose week 1 by 3 scores or so, and be in tough games with Highland and Moggy. On this list the things that stand out to me - I would move NMS down, and move Rittman into the top 8 with a lot returning and arguably the best RB in the region now as a senior. Tuslaw will be interesting as well as I could see anywhere from a 3-7 to a 7-3 season.

Should be interesting. Mogadore's loss to Field is the shocker that shakes up this region. I didn't see the game but others that did said it was two very good teams battling it out. Mogadore will likely build off this loss and be the better for it.

Went out and had a few shots and beers. For now Kirtland is #1 and Dalton is #2.Might be the tequila but I have Springfield #3

I hate say it but this year is a very weak region! Except the top 2.
Especially the Youngstown tri-county area teams. This might be the weakest it's been for a very long time for those teams. Dead serious that I think that Kirtland's JV would be a top-12 team in this region. This does give teams that have never had playoff success, a chance at winning multiple playoff games if they can avoid the bracket that has Kirtland and/or Dalton until the later rounds.

Seeing Springfield last week I believe they're not the #3 team. Sorry Tiger fans, but it looks like if the opponent stops the run, it's over. Most every pass attempt had a trajectory like a punt. Often there were multiple defenders waiting around the intended target. If they can fix it, they'll possibly contend in their league.

Mogadore lost a rivalry game to Field 14-12. I figure they will right the ship. Field has a 6-4 250 lb running back and he is a load.
As I watched Mogadore vs Mogadore Field last week, I reminded those around me this is what opposing teams went through when Mogadore had M. Williams bursting through their defense. Give Mogadore credit as they shut him down on.4th down and actually had chance to pull it out.
