Victorio's in Alliance for the best thin crust pizza! It is just a carry out place though. Alliance is probably your best spot to go for bar/restaurant though. All by the Mt. Union college area
Alliance does have some nice bars and restaurants. I didn’t realize I would be that close to Alliance, I clearly need to look at a map, lol. WGH with the W last night, who do you guys have next week?

Call me crazy but I’ve never really bought into “it’s hard to beat a team twice in a season”. Execute and make plays like they did a few weeks ago and the same result can be expected.
My buddy was saying same thing about madison/geneva game. Thought madison had a better chance to win last night since they lost in a close one a couple weeks ago... Geneva did better this time than the first.

I immediately thought of Slim Pickens fretting about losing a $200.00 hard cart

nupanther,

I think my most memorable Slim Pickens film moment is the following atomic bomb scene from Dr. Strangelove. You will notice that James Earl Jones is the pilot.

I seen earlier posts talking about butchel beating perry by 12, and the butchel making it a close game... I can see why some people could have thought that. Looking at the score, you wouldn't think so but they did have a lot of talent. I could definitely see the speed you guys were talking about right away, if a couple of them kids broke free they were gone. Also it was a pretty clean game on both sides, a couple PI's and some offsides but over all pretty clean football. I feel like perry had a edge on the talent all around and had better play calling and coaching. I seen our QB talking to some of the butchel players at halftime in the building and it looked like nothing but mutual respect. Congratulations to butchel on a good season.

I love to hear it!

Chives is a good spot for food and drinks I forgot about them.
Zeps is great pizza but I agree I would stick with the Brickhouse everything I’ve had there has been great!
Crazy I got through Sebring often and visit friends out there and still haven’t ate at the brickhouse. Gonna have to handle that.

How we feeling after last night? I thought Greenwood looked really comfortable back there. Shouldve just went for it on the one failed Fg attempt. Dbs tracked the ball well outside the end of the first half. Also kudos to NDCL they competed. They had a good gameplan to get the ball out quick. DL did a good job getting home on the longer developing pass plays. Good first round IMO all in all

Feeling good, didn’t give up to much on the ground but they had a few nice pass plays. No clue why we didn’t go on 4th and 3 from their 8 (I think) we don’t get it we force a punt and get it back in decent field position. He did look pretty good, did a nice job finding different WRs and picked up some solid yards with his legs. Cincere should be a Mr. Football candidat, I haven’t seen everyone but there’s no way there’s a better defensive player in the state.

Usually more of an offensive award

In the Mooney-Streetsboro game the Cardinals didn't put Mr. Gentile in at QB until they were down 21-0. He engineered TD drives on his first two possessions to cut it to 21-14 and the D did then force a Streetsboro punt that the Rockets downed at the Mooney 11. In what was a critical drive for Mooney Streetsboro forced a 3 and out, got the ball around midfield on the punt and scored to make it 28-14. On the first play following the ensuing KO Mr. Gentile fired a 79-yard TD pass to Dennis Clark to make it 28-21 but they could get no closer. Streetsboro scored their last TD with about a minute to go to make the final 42-21.

The Rockets have some nice RBs but their QB makes it all go. They run a lot of motion and jet sweeps where the QB hands off to the motion man or pulls it and runs himself. He is very quick & elusive as is the RB. They also ran several QB draws and keepers well. Every now and then they ran a wheel route to a motion man. They ran some RPO where the QB really sold the run and then quickly dropped back and threw or pitched the ball. They didn't throw that much but they hit some critical passes to extend drives and keep Mooney's D on the field. There was one critical pass play in particular where the Mooney DB had excellent coverage but the Rocket receiver made an outstanding catch to keep one scoring drive alive. It was just a great individual play by the receiver.

I think Streetsboro will beat Canal Fulton NW in round 2 but I don't know about them beating Perry or Struthers in round 3 if Struthers can get past Perry. I don't see the Rockets beating any of the remaining teams that can throw well and play good run D. Mooney had a lot of success throwing the ball against them but had trouble stopping their offense.

I will be pulling for Struthers next week but they are going to have a very tough time with Perry. For Struthers to have a chance to beat Perry or Streetsboro IMO they will have to have their run game hitting on all cylinders to control the clock, finish drives with TDs, shorten the game and limit the offensive touches for their opponents. I don't think they can win a shootout with either of them but of course I may be 100% wrong about all of this.

Obviously on the other side of the bracket Glenville is the team to beat. Again, I will be pulling for the area team in that match-up but that's a very tough draw for West Branch.

Good luck to all the teams left. I want to see the R13 winner win it all.

GO CATS & WARRIORS!
