D4 Region 13 2024

Perry also beat the d3 region 9 geneva #5 seed 44-7, hawken #8 seed 68-0, and madison #12 seed 42-10. I wouldn't say they haven't played anyone, definitely wish they had some tougher teams in the regular season though.
Hey do you know if it going be a livestream tonight

Unfortunately the Tracks are still there and Active... you just had bad timing :)

Could be the story of my life. :)

In the mid to late 80s I worked at Timken Research and when the weather was good I would drive out 165 to Courtney Rd. and head west to 225. There was an unguarded RR crossing on Courtney next to what was then a Carnation Milk plant in what I think was called the Sebring Industrial Park. One day as I approached the crossing I saw something like the following coming down the tracks:

It looked bigger than the one in this picture but there were two guys riding down the rails on one of those old hand carts. At the time I had never seen one in use except in a movie. I don't know where they were going but they were headed south. :)

Looks like CVC TV is airing the Chagrin Falls/Berkshire Snoozefest Take 2 tonight.
Really? I thought forsure it would have been madison/geneva. I wonder if one of those teams didn't get regular season coverage? I don't remember seeing berkshire on a regular season games night. Idk

Scrolled through their page...Madison, Geneva, Chagrin Falls, and Berkshire were all on CVC TV once during the regular season. Berkshire/Hawken was on in week 2.

But who wouldn't want to watch the 374th and 342nd best teams in Ohio slug it out just one week after an exciting 13-6 shootout?

I immediately thought of Slim Pickens fretting about losing a $200.00 hard cart

Those dinosaur days were really great. Really showing your age now.
Do you feel old? :stirthepot:

Only 95?!?! 🤣
I almost typed 99. Then I pulled back at the last second. I thought of Coach Herman Edwards saying " Dont press send".

II have lived in Ytown the majority of my life. I have worked EMS for 14 years and home health almost 2 years. I have been to Beloit twice in my life and once was by accident. I was coming home though Alliance- saw Rt 165 North and said to myself " Hmmmmmm... I go THIS WAY" Then said " Ahhhh..So thats West Branch"

Once for me.

😂😂😂 If we win tonight, I’m looking forward to making the trip.

Not at all because fortunately for me one can be immature at any age. :)

That's exactly what I pictured as I sat there thinking "what in the wide wide world of sports is a-going on here" when I saw that thing coming down the tracks. :)

Yeah, I know Glenville is big. I just didn't think Perry looked that small. Maybe Kirtland was smaller than I realized, because Perry was bigger than they were. (I know they're D6, but they're Kirtland.

Is Perry that small? I saw them in person once this year against Kirtland, but the rain pelting my face made it an annoying game to watch. I should have saved myself the long drive out there and just watched it online.

Other than that, I just caught some of the Geneva game online. I didn't think Perry looked huge, but they didn't seem small either. They did have more speed than I expected, though.
Buchtels O line is a little smaller than Glenvilles and not as skilled! But, only a little smaller!

I know we stream all home games on FB, idk if cvc tv is streaming any playoff stuff. If they are I'm sure they're covering madison vs geneva since it's a same conference match up and good rivalry.

Thanks, I didn't realize they streamed home games. I checked it out and saw the Hawken game is there. I skimmed the first half, and all I learned is that Hawken is worse than I imagined.

In 2001 SVSM (and LeBron James) played Canton Central Catholic in a playoff game at West Branch. The PxP guy from WAKR opened the broadcast, "We're here, in the middle of nowhere ..."

The A.D. heard him and after the game when the WAKR guy thanked him for the hospitality, the A.D. said, not bad for the middle of nowhere, huh?
