D3 Region 12 Thread

I think Bellbrook got a pretty good draw actually, I like their match-up vs everyone but London and Tipp in the region. Defense has played extremely good since week 1.
Agreed. Bellbrook has the defense to hang in R12. They also are well prepared with their OOC schedule including Tipp City, Bellefontaine, and Alter.

The one thing that really makes me confident in regards to Tipp winning this region is how well they did against the 3 best teams they played this year. Bellbrook, Butler and Xenia are a combined 26-1 against teams not named Tippecanoe, and Tipp beat the three of them by a combined score of 88-35… That’s getting the job done against really good teams. Tipp is tested, and they’ve aced every test.

The beauty of this region is that unlike many where there are 1 to 2 heavy favorites, there's a pack of 6 teams (Tippecanoe, Wapakoneta, London, Bellbrook, McNicholas, and St Marys) that all could realistically win the region, and you could probably throw Bellefontaine in there as a 7th team just given who they have at QB. Once we get to the 2nd round next week there's going to be a lot of competitive matchups that have at least some level of intrigue.

Here’s your daily reminder to pick up and pack up the equipment fellas, Tipp is it and no one will even come close.

Ok guy. Exactly what information or insight have you brought to this thread in terms of WBL teams and them being able to win this region besides expressing your emotions?

London beat Bellefontaine the week that it was a legit downpour. Bellefontaine makes their bread off of throwing the ball and I believe they were 6/14 throwing that night. Also, last year in the regular season, London beat Bellefontaine handily then lost to them in second round. I think London is a paper tiger. I know all to well about the CBC, Tipp could dominate the CBC every year, but come playoff time they weren’t tested. I just don’t think London has seen anything like Tipp this year, and Tipp’s defense is built to feast on wing-t offenses like that. I mean they held Bellbrook to 97 total yards of offense, and Bellbrook also blew Bellefontaine out.
Easy , Bellbrook was young . And let’s not act like Bellbrook didn’t have tips number until week 1 of this year . Beating them several years in a row and twice in 2021 counting the playoffs
Now I understand this year is this year but let’s not act like the wing t hasn’t been effective against them . This team is good (Tipp) but they can be beat and Bellbrook would love another opportunity

Bellbrook sophomores (9) have matured a ton with the scheduled that’s been played .
Region 12 is a gauntlet
Gonna be fun
Good luck to Tipp
I respect their program a ton and love the opener every year with Bellbrook

You really need to stop getting so emotional I’m starting to feel threatened everytime you speak to me on here.

Does your mom know you talk to internet strangers in this fashion? Sicko

I mean, last year you said the same thing about Celina and look what happened. Score was 14-0 before Tipp could pick up their jock strap.

Now for this year. I do see Tipp being stronger than last year, solely based on scores. Trying to compare is extremely difficult because the lack of common opponents. The next thing I look at SOS, which Wapak, St Marys, and even Celina all soundly beat Tipp according to Drew Pasteur. I do believe Tipp would beat London because that SOS is horrendous, I also believe Tipp would beat Celina this year too.

Celina proved a lot of people wrong, including me. That was one tough team. But this Tipp team is much better than they were last year and I don’t see another team in this region being as strong as Celina was last year

I hope Bellbrook and Tipp continue the series for years to come. It’s the best possible out of conference matchup for both schools, competitive and meaningful. I wasn’t knocking Bellbrook at all. They are one of the 4 teams I’ve said could win this region. But if anyone knows how tough this Tipp team is this year, it’s Bellbrook.

Was Tipp that much better than Bellbrook though or was it just the fact that it was week 1?
Outside of that game, they’ve really only dominated bad teams.
Guess we’ll find out soon if they prove themselves. Excited to see how it all shapes out.

Considering that historically Tipp gets much better as the year goes on, and the fact that Tipp held them to less than 100 yards of offense and scored more points on them than any other team this year I’d say yeah Tipp is that good. If your referring to Tipp only dominating bad teams outside of the Bellbrook game your just wrong, they beat 8-2 Butler 25-7 and 9-1 Xenia 35-21.
I mean we can point to it being week 1, but it was also week 1 for Tipp, and Tipp was starting a sophomore QB in his first ever game, as well as 3 other sophomores on offense in their first ever varsity games. And despite that Tipp put up double the amount of points on Bellbrooks defense than anyone else did the whole season. Excited to see how it shapes out to

You could always argue that it was week 1 so the teams have changed since then.

But just going by the numbers, yes, Tipp was just that much better than Bellbrook in that game. Outgained them 344-90 yards. Tipp even lost the turnover battle 3-1 and still won easily, so it could have been worse given that statistic.

Yeah, they dominated in that specific game, but I don’t think you can judge teams accurately based off of the first few games. Look at Bellefontaine last year who got dominated by London early in the season and then went on to beat them in the playoffs. Or a Celina who got shutout by Versailles in week 1 last year and then won this region.

Also, again, I know you can’t always make assumptions based on scores alone but if you look at both of Butler and Xenias schedules and see who they played, those really don’t look like super impressive wins. Especially Butler, who struggled in multiple games against mediocre teams this year.
At the end of the day though, Tipp did well with the schedule in front of them and that’s all that matters. Im not trying to make it seem like they’re a bad team, I think Tipp is pretty good this year, but I just feel you’re a little overconfident like you were last year, as CTown said. If Tipp ends up winning the region, I will gladly eat my words.

Don’t argue about his precious Devils. If it ain’t Tipp, it ain’t zay

Question for you ? Who won this region last year ? And what league were they from? Wapakoneta, StMarys , and Celina could all win this region. All 3 teams are physical and you better strap it up. Mcnick better be ready to play or they will be going home super early

Celina is a one year wonder.
Celina has some solid talent still coming up the next few years. What will make or break us is the coaching.
Honestly though, even if we don’t make it deep in the playoffs every year, I’d be more than happy to at least have winning seasons each year. Just don’t want to be the laughing stock of the wbl like we were there a lot in the past couple decades lollll. I played peewee ball all the way up to my sophomore year of highschool and won a total of 10 games I believe 💀

Who do think ya will get to.be the OC.next year.

Celina is my favorite out of.conferemce team and Celina stadium and the field house are the 2 best venues in HS.

Gotcha.

Afraid of who we will get, not the wisest hiring process.
I’m sure Bader will reach into his MAC contacts and find another young cat to get the job done.

Maybe he should go to Tipp to find one of the millions of wunderkinds that they churn out every year

Shhhhhhhhhh you’re ruining his narrative and he gets rather emotional when you do that.

His mom also doesn’t know that he talks to internet strangers so you need to be extra quiet, almost Elmer Fudd levels of vewy vewy quiet

Ok? And Who won the region 2 years ago? Where are they from? We can play this game, but it has no affect on the teams this year. And I’m sorry but Celina can’t and won’t win this region this year. I’ll give you Wapak and St Mary’s
