Critical Race Theory

Elects commonly insist that critics of CRT would feel differently if they read actual foundational articles about it. But the issue is what is being done in CRT's name, not what some articles contained decades ago.

The early writings by people like Regina Austin, Richard Delgado, Kimberlé Crenshaw are simply hard-leftist legal analysis, proposing a revised conception of justice that takes oppression into account, including a collective sense of subordinate group identity. These are hardly calls to turn schools into Maoist re-education camps fostering star chambers and struggle sessions.

However, this, indeed, is what is happening to educational institutions across the country. Moreover, it is no tort to call it "CRT" in shorthand when:

1) these developments are descended from its teachings and

2) their architects openly bill themselves as following the tenets of CRT.

In language, terms evolve, and quickly -- witness, of late, how this has happened with cancel culture and even woke. To insist that “CRT” must properly refer only to the contents of obscure law review articles from decades ago is a debate team stunt, not serious engagement with a dynamic and distressing reality.

A useful document for parents in the new resistance just released by the Manhattan Institute may be useful for those who still bristle at the use of CRT to refer to … well, what it now means. One could be more precise:

"What we are interested in here might be termed “critical pedagogy.” “Critical pedagogy” names — without exhaustively defining — the host of concepts, terms, practices, and theories that have lately taken hold in many public and private schools. This term alludes to a connection to CRT — it might be thought of as critical race theory as applied to schooling — but also to “critical studies” and “critical theory,” a broader set of contemporary philosophical ideas that have been particularly influential in certain circles of the modern Left."

Its been A Texas holiday for years.. and why did not The great first black president Bill Clinton make this a national holiday? Oh and did the second great black president even mention this?
Again what non-sense from leftists. Virtue signaling at its most profane.
You should have posted this tomorrow goof.

Just get it over with and make every day a federal holiday.

"You get a holiday, and you get a holiday"

Shouldve held out and traded MLK day and a minor holiday to be named later.

Reading the last few pages, notice how hard our resident leftists, and the sources they cited, are working so hard to frame this issue - and the extent they are willing to go.

I love to watch the struggle when people try to offer alternative explanations to what is obvious and redefine ideas into things they were never defined as - until there was wide recognition.

But the reason they have lost control of the narrative of CRT is because they never created an honest one. It was 100% stealth that they hid behind a bunch of other names under the general banner of a new approach to social justice.

They replaced "equality" (a foundational freedom concept) with ""equity" (an authoritarian Marxist concept as they are using it).

There was the creation of the term "anti-racist" (a clever way to define and obfuscate one who supports an overtly racist theory) to replace "non-racist" or "color-blind" (which defines the American constitution's approach to race).

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that you dont get less racism from practicing it, and you dont get more justice from promoting injustices.

The unfortunate thing for them, is that there are leftist groups out there that we consider "radical" that say exactly what they mean, and when they say it it's clearly rooted in hatred and in the spirit of equity rather than equality. It makes it hard for a spin doctor who is paid to frame these ideas in an acceptable light, when you've got a nut with a microphone blowing their cover all the livelong day.

The saddest part about this meme is that almost all white people are already doing this. They do know real history. They are pissed about racial injustice. They are empathetic. They do think critically. They are trying to do better than generations past.

What I think this "rebellious history teacher" is really saying is that they do want white people to feel "guilty" but they are too gutless to admit it.

Lastly, white supremacy is the new boogeyman. Most people don't know anyone like this except in the rare examples put on TV to try and paint all people the same way with a broadbrush. To put it into context, I haven't heard a white person outside of pop culture/movies/music use the N-word in decades. Not saying that people don't use it but the type of people that use that word are mostly isolated outside of the mainstream.

Third generation "racial activism" is complete BS.

The Racial Equality Industry can never admit that the job had already been done as best it could be on a macro- level, by their top-down so-called solutions. They don't want to get real jobs. These monsters have to create discontent to preserve a market, so they blame others for the statistical results that come mostly from the self-defeating behaviors of some those that happen to have dark skin.

So, instead of trying to transition to a color-blind society like logical people would advocate, they have doubled down on racial division to protect their phony-baloney jobs. Sick f_cks.

Simple, to the point, and God's honest truth. That IS the bottom line.

As we have discussed at length...those democrats are republicans now. You understand this right?
If you actually believe that there is no hope for you.

I asked you this question before and you would not answer it as your claim is that the two party's switched ideology in the 1960's. So lets see if you will answer now.

1. Explain ideological differences in governing between President Eisenhower and President Trump.

2. Explain ideological differences between The Indian Removal Act, The Little Rock Crisis and the 1994 Crime Bill.

I actually had someone tell me color blind is racist. That these idiots invoke the name of MLK is a disgrace.

FoxNews is comical. In their defense they continually state their viewers should not believe anything they say in legal docs.

“It’s unclear if Fox disclosed the terroristic, white, privileged life these scum lead, we do know they are members of the community though.”

How dare those evil racist dogs speak out against CRT. The liberal watchdog group thinks they’re up to something.

They really print articles like this? And people like Happy read them. And then you get more people like Happy ??‍♂️,vicious cycle.

Maybe they could get another "concerned parent" to give the alternative POV. Like Al Sharpton.

The article you posted said they were involved in the community in some manner (most parents). Why would Sharpton who does not live in that community, speak? So, you(Happy) are like the media? You don’t like what these people had to say about a dangerous, racist ideology. So, like many other libs, and liberal media watchdogs, you will attempt to discredit who the people are instead of hearing their message.

I am convinced that CRT teachings are partly responsible for the jump in the staging of fake hate crimes in college. These kids, taught repeatedly that white supremacy is everywhere, can't handle the fact that they don't experience it first hand. They then create the racism they have been taught is EVERYWHERE!

What’s more, Unanka “had already messaged a friend of hers that she was potentially a victim of another hate crime because of the fire started next to her dorm room,” the complaint states.

Clear, concise truth gets ignored by the Left if they can get away with it.

If you have ever had someone in your life that was hiding the truth, desperate that it not be revealed, you see them react in predictable ways. In general, people like that need "smoke" to hide the light of the truth. They lie, deceive, misdefine, mischaracterize, miscontextualize, etc. They will simply act as if some evidence of the truth hasn't been presented and see if ignoring it will make it go away, but if they are forced to confront it, then we get into denial, deflection, distraction, reversal, rabbit holes, and a few other manipulative techniques.

Smoke can be very effective, but it has one big weakness - it has no substance, no staying power. One can keep cranking out smoke to try to keep the truth obscured, but it is exhausting and time is the great revealer and smoke dissipater. It just can't be sustained long term and when it clears, there is the truth where it was the whole time.

Ever notice how short a memory the Left has? They said this or that about Covid a year ago and many of those things have been totally debunked, but government responses to the virus used that smoke to justify their actions. There are dozens of examples, or you could choose virtually any issue and it applies. There is never any accountability for the bad policy they impose on others, no admission of making wrong and harmful declarations of "truth" - only, it seems, that anything is justified to achieve short-term political advantage. When forced to talk about these failures, we see the manipulative techniques come out forcefully.

Seems to me it would be easier to say, "Yeah, defunding the police was a galactically stupid idea. Learned my lesson on that one." If the last few years has taught me anything, it is that the Left is totally incapable of introspection and learning from mistakes in ideas and rhetoric because they won't even acknowledge them - but they are pros at cranking out smoke.

Many liberals USED TO BE thoughtful people. Most remaining in the Dem pack of hyenas are just rubber stamps and shills anymore. Cowed b1tches, or "the ends justify the means", out-of-the-closet socialist elitists that picture themselves at the top of the D heap. It's pathetic what my former Party has become in the name of retaining power.
