What is scUM's record in the CFP and NY6 games? I can't recallThis game: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
The cottonelle bowl for the soft suckeyes. Pretty appropriate.
Michigan 11 Nattys. 1 more on it's way this year. How many do the suckeyes have? I can't recall. Enjoy your (soft) contonelle bowl game against Missouri. What is scUM's record in the CFP and NY6 games? I can't recall
If they were at full strength you might have a point.OSU fans already preparing for a loss which is a sad state of affairs.
If OSU, the 2nd most talented team in America to start the season (Bama #1), loses to Mizzou, who started the season unranked, it will exemplify the overall major issues facing what should be a top 4 program in the country.
It's a team sport. You are a POS to leave your teammates hanging."Neither the NCAA nor its member schools can force a college athlete to play in a bowl game. However, players who opt out can expect an avalanche of hostile publicity calling them selfish traitors to the glory of their college tradition."
Why? Their scholarship doesn't require them to play in bowl games. If it isn't a playoff game, I would rather have the players returning the following season to get the playing time. Use it as an early practice for the 2024 season.
A healthy program should have no trouble fielding a competitive team for a bowl game. A team of OSU's caliber should not have trouble with Mizzou, even with down the liners. If they were at full strength you might have a point.
How many since you didn't win them by pollsters? Did you mention the playoff and NY6 record? I missed itMichigan 11 Nattys. 1 more on it's way this year. How many do the suckeyes have? I can't recall. Enjoy your (soft) contonelle bowl game against Missouri.
So now you are going to decide which ones count and which ones don't? Do you have a job title/description for that? A badge? Or a chestnut on your helmet? How many since you didn't win them by pollsters? Did you mention the playoff and NY6 record? I missed it
Everybody playing except MH, Ransome, and maybe Eichenberg.Marvin Harrison Jr with team but not participating in practice:
Marvin Harrison Jr. Not Participating in Cotton Bowl Practice
Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. appears unlikely to play in the Cotton Bowl as he was not in uniform for Tuesday’s practice that was open to the media.www.elevenwarriors.com
No surprise there.
Ransom has a legit excuseEverybody playing except MH, Ransome, and maybe Eichenberg.
Maybe, but then they will just go to a school who doesn't have that requirement.I wonder if at some point the NIL funding sources will make full payment contingent upon playing in the bowl games (short of a legitimate injury).
E-R-S.M-I-Z!
We'll ignore they were a fg away from dethroning Georgia last year. Or have blasted Alabama in the playoffs.Well this is going to be a fun thread. This wasn't Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Florida...this was upstart Missouri. Picked 10th in the SEC before this season....
I just want there to be some kind of acknowledgement that the big ten is no where near a top conference, never has been. You play cupcakes all season in conference? You lift Penn State as your best win? I've always said Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State would lose 3-4 games a season in the SEC and not even sniff a playoff.
And this isn't about opt outs and transfer portals. Ohio State has 4-5 star players year after year after year. And they didn't have 25 opt outs, only a few.
Ryan Day is now 0-3 vs. the SEC.We'll ignore they were a fg away from dethroning Georgia last year. Or have blasted Alabama in the playoffs.
Yep we'll use a one off game of questionable motivation in an off brand bowl with their starting QB transfered and best WR sitting out to make the determination OSU can't compete vs the SEC.
Without context who cares?Ryan Day is now 0-3 vs. the SEC.
At some point you either beat the SEC or you get fired.Without context who cares?
